Day 3

Barry, turns out my Mechanix leather glove is a M but it is well worn and stretched.  The Giant in my hands do feel like holding a cart driving wheel.

Another size comparison to a M-sized gloved hand.

While we are at it, I also compare it to various SAK and tools.  Bottom row, from R to L: Classic, Explorer, Swisschamp, XLT, LM OG Wave and 111mm Trekker

It actually counts as a passenger on most major airlines!
That's a cool use!  Kinda reminds me how much I like using the little pliers(giant tweezer) to pick up a hot pot lid.

That is curious, isn't it?

Don't worry about that, we got the Folderbeholder's wheeler on land, SAKcremeto at sea and Barry's jumbo plane in the air for transport.  :D

If I were the TSA security I probably wouldn't let myself pass...all you have to do is to hurl it at someone, and I bet it will create blunt trauma like a baseball bat.

DAY 3

Checking out the Cybertool and bits on the XLT.
One thing about the exchangeable bits on the Cybertool is I always fear the bits would drop out during use, without me noticing.  It happened to me just today when I was playing with the bit extender. :ahhh

Does that ever happen to you?

I have the same fear. It happened to me but I always noticed. It's the main problem when you're using it, bits can drop out.  :ahhh  ::)

No Vic bits have fallen out yet, but I tried carrying a T-6 tip with hex drive from my a non Vic driver tip array and it would NOT stay put for a second without inserting a bit of rubber band with the T6. On my CTL, my Vic bits have a little ball that keep them in the driver and in the plastic holder. If your bits are falling out of the holder, try shimming them in with some rubberband sections.

It doesn't happen very often, and I think it does when the knife is stongly shaken in the pocket or sheath for example.

Same here, but if there's a way to secure it, I'd love to give it a go.

I kinda wonder will something like a heavy grease safe to plastic would work? :pok:   I do have a tube of Super lube somewhere, but don't want it to attack the plastic overtime and make the situation even worse.

How many layers does the Giant have?

The XLT looks rather small compared to The One.

Day 3

Battery change starring the Vic XLT. Despite the thickness of the knife, the centrally located Cybertool driver handles ok. Not as good as the CT 34's, obviously, but better than one might suspect.

Edit: @ Ulzhan: again, the picture reminds me of something...

After one year of EDCing a CT 34, I for one didn't find that to be an issue, no

It's just the proportions of the XLT, I guess. The CT 34 never feels kinky to me.

Early morning glasses repair job. Although the mini SD wasn't too helpful in this situation (the difficult part was to align the screw properly), the XLT could still be of service. Presbyopia be damned
