It never occurred to me that the Giant would have those wonderful pliers.  What a great knife to have!!  I miss Wenger a lot.

Day 5

I have planted a pot of parsley awhile ago, but lately it's been looking rather sad and floppy.  Google said it could be due to overwatering and lack of trimming.
So I tried the Giant hawkbill blade to try trimming the plant a little.
Since I don't smoke, the cigar cutter will probably never get used, so I figure I might as well give it a go anyway...but it hardly worked at all.

Great! I just love to see your Giant in action, Comis!

Very nice. How do you like the bit driver's handling?

Thank you Simon! I definitely like the bit driver and feel sometimes I get more control using it at the 90 stop

Thank you Comis and Vicman!

Day 5

Just an office day so no real tool usage other than holding down papers but the XLT was ready to go

Day 6:

Saturday morning project: converting two AA battery boxes into containers for my camera batteries. After the dremel job, the XLT's fish scaler was used to scrape off plastic residue - and excelled at it! I think that's the first time I've ever found it to be the best tool for a job.

DAY 6

Comparing magnifiers of Victorinox XLT and Tool Chest Plus

The first picture is an optical illusion making the Tool Chest Plus look bigger than the XLT.

The 3rd picture shows them side by side

I kinda wonder maybe that's a possibility to sharpen the root of the fork...it maybe a specialized tool for trimming job.

Knife maintenance day.  Used the magnifier to check out the grind evenness and tang stamps of some of more recently acquired Traditionals, and am surprised how high the magnification power of the older mag glass.

:hatsoff: Indeed, and since some of the blades do protrude the chassis, gonna be careful how I hold onto that chassis so I won't accidentally cut myself. :D
