Day 15

(Image removed from quote.)

Was playing with the Giant this afternoon, and not quite sure what's this blade is for...but at least it did ok as a sugar spatula.

This picture reminded me of why it is illegal for people to throw things off the Empire State Building, I’m surprised that coffee mug didn’t go right through your table with all that altitude   great pic Comis!

DAY 15

Used the corkscrew on the XLT to loosen a knot in my shoestring.

Love this classic use! Great stuff Vicman!

I'm watching this thread secretly hoping that someone will use the corkscrew on the Giant to uncork a Jeroboam or similar

My first external hard drive was 40MB (megabytes) for my Apple IIGS, I thought I could store anything I'd ever need!

I think there must be an episode on Mythbuster about that, but modern highrise is fascinating.  I still remember first time going up WTC, and it was so high up I could have sworn I see clounds(or fog) down below....it was mesmerizing. :dd:

I the first few computer I have seen was only 8 or 16mb in memory...that was so long ago, and the 5" paper thin magnetic floppy disk, anyone remember that?  :)

If I would have known, I would give that a try the other day when I need the tire change.  :D

FB, have you wonder why do Wenger store the Giant in the box with all the tools out?  Is it merely because it is better for display or do you think it's better for the backsprings in a very long run?  :pok:

Day 16

Whenever I play with different tools/blades on Giant and do think that in some way, it really is a mini encyclopedia of the Wenger tool history.  It is as if someone took a snap shots of all the tools once flourished in the Wenger product line, and stack all these photos into a collage.  Don't get me wrong, I am a Victorinox 'fanboy' thru and thru, but in terms of innovation and creativity, I do have to give it to Wenger.

I have been collecting Traditional knives in recent years, and it really is quite fascinating to learn about the history of clip point blade and US cutlery history.  So today I pulled out two of the clip point blades on Giant for comparison, and use one of them for coffee duty.

I think it depends how good is your nail strength--though I have toughen my nail considerably in recent years for collecting traditional knives, a few of these tools can be real nail breaker if you are not careful when pulling them out.
