Thank you Barry, I was surprised it is a Rally and not a Classic, but I don't mind at all.  :tu:

My father visited Machu Picchu on a business trip to Peru a few years ago. He bought this for me. I guess this would be "South Americana"!

That's an awesome piece. I wonder if we should add it to the Places to Be page on SAKWiki. There are also Lineas de Nazca and Caral versions (shown here and here).

Interestingly, the promotional images show subtle variations in the design, e.g. the back scale design on the front instead of on the back, and back scales without cut-outs.
And they are supposed to be Spartans :P
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Well, the scales were on a Spartan...now they're on a Tinker.

Me neither!  Was happy to find it for my Americana collection.  I wish Greyhound Bus Lines advertised on Victorinox.  I've been looking.

This thread was most enjoyable to browse through! Here are some photos (all previously seen) of some of my Americana SAKs. I likely have a few more.

Here are a few more of mine that could qualify. Seen are two "Ranger of the Lost Art" Classic SDs and another Gadsden flag (this time on a Classic SD; I want to get a couple of Tinkers bearing that design).

Farmer X, that Joshua Tree Classic reminds me that I need to take another drive through there.  I don't live too far from it.  One of my best memories was taking my dad there on a cold day in winter.   We pulled over to the side of the road and I made us some hot soup with my camping gear and we ate it in the back of the van.  Good times.

The only National Park I've been to is Yosemite...and even then, I was there to work. Sure is pretty, though. Victorinox unfortunately did not put Yosemite in that series. I'd like to get the others, but that's a low priority...I'd need more boxed 58mm models to properly store them.

Nice camper van, FB. That's another thing I'd like to have someday: an overland camping rig.

Sadly, Farmer X has not the money to spend on it.
