As the title says: Post pictures of your SAK with mountains in the background, or of SAKs on the summit of mountains.

If you can, let us know which mountains we are seeing

A few to get us started:

Spanish Peaks in the background

Next two: Mountains of the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness

Thanks SirVicaLot, yours are stunning and thanks everyone, great stuff :tu:

Interesting to see the very different types of mountains. About 7 or 8 hours south of Sydney on the NSW/Victoria border are the Snowy Mountains which is our ski field and a fair bit higher than near me.

The Blue Mountains in my pics are at about 3000m and covered in thick bush- or were until the bush fires earlier in the year. You can see the massive devastation in some of the shots, normally this would be a thick green canopy. The good news is it’s starting to recover

Just say when.

Unfortunately the AMC has cancelled the recognition of anyone hiking up the 4,000 footers during the pandemic. Presumably to discourage crowds on the mountains but why you would ever want to discourage solitary outdoor activity AWAY from other people is a bit of a mystery to me. Then again, a Massachusetts man was just arrested for removing his own mask, declaring he had COVID, and spitting on two non-mask wearing people for not wearing masks. All of this on a hiking trail. To me, that's more on account of the government asking everyone to be everyone else's nanny than it is about real hiking.

We did Mt. Osceola a couple of weeks ago, and found anyone we saw on the trail to be polite, and those who were not actually wearing a mask had one handy for use when passing other hikers.
