Evening all,

I'm after a bit of advice. I have taken apart a Wenger Entree/63 to provide the Combo Tool/Main Blade layer for a custom knife.

I expected a spacer with the Combo Tool, but not the Main Blade as Victorinox's main blades don't have spacers. I didn't note where the Main Blade spacer goes, between the Main Blade and adjacent tool layer liner or Main Blade and the scale liner. Can anybody tell me which is correct before peening?

My assumption is that the first picture is correct, both the Combo Tool and Main Blade spacers against the adjacent tool layer liner.

The second picture has the Combo Tool spacer between the Combo Tool and adjacent tool layer liner, and the Main Blade Spacer between the Main Blade and scale liner. It seems to also work, hence my doubt.

In both the above cases, the snap on the Comb Tool/Main Blade layer is a bit weak on the dry run assembly.

The third and forth pictures are just added for completeness and I assume are not options.

Thanks for any tips.

I just looked at several Wengers, and the spacer is between the blade and the scale-side liner, so your second picture would be correct.
