That's why I carry a Leatherman and a traditional   :tu:
:iagree:

Much as I love my traditional knives I wouldn't want to be without small MT at the least.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Day 17.

Trapper in Dark Red Bone CV again.

This challengenge turns out to be harder than exspected. Beeing a SAK/MT guy I often miss the utility on these blade only knives. Even a BSA Knife, Pioneer or Tinker would get me through most days, now I often grab the Case only to realize I only got a blade and nothing else.
You find some workarounds like slightly abusung the blade but this hurts my inner self.
On other occasions I simply have to go and get something else.
9/10 times its the blade you use, but beeing someone who uses his EDC almost for everything the 1/10 turns out to be really often. You never really realize that.

:iagree:  A MT/SAK is indeed the best companion to a knife.  And that's same reasoning applies to file on a SAK/MT, most people find it useless 99% of the time, but when you need the metal saw on that 1% occasion, that's gonna be missed.

What other Case knives do you have?

Besides the ones already shown I only own a Case Jr. Scout, but that doesnt  fit into this challenge somehow, feels like cheating using it.  :climber:

I have a huge bunch of other traditional folders (couple Laguioles, some knives of other Solingen forges and so on),but thats a different story.

Day 18.

That Texas Jack again.
Did some handicrafts with my daughter, mostly cutting cardboard.
Had to install a new bell on her balance bike, went with the bell downstairs only to realize I have to grab a phillips... upstairs again to take my Wave. Wouldnt have happened if I had my SI on me...

I carry a MT from time to time (and always have one in my jacket at work) .
In my really nutty knife days (10...15years ago) I had a large folder (Spyderco Military, Microtech Mini Socom or something similar), a SAK and a MT with me.
Guess what, I did use my SAK the most. Mainly to safe my precious folder, and rarely needed the pliers while my SAK could handle 99% of tasks.

Darn, was I stupid. Or just weird.

Dont want to carry a MT at home, wear sweatpants indoors so going light.

Day 20.

Trapper again.
Been in the woods nearby with family and a friends family.
Not a long walk, just went to a spot Ive build kind of a hut for my daughter using dead wood.
We did some picnic, kids played in the hut and bushes and I whittled. After 4hours back to the cars and home again.

Trapper for foodprep, carving tools for the whittling.

Yep, my daughter NEEEDS other kids, kindergartens are closed and it was awesome to see two 3year olds just playing in the woods.

I myself are feeling a bit better these days. Handcrafts and lots fresh air helps a lot.

Great pic of your Trapper.  I am so happy to hear you are feeling better.  Fresh air, time in the woods, and your daughter,  I hope you continue to get out and enjoy this.

Sounds like a great time!  Any photo of the little hut?  I bet she loved it!

I have a toddler kinda trap in the apartment most of his days, I do feel sorry for him since he always has a great time playing with other kids.

I have some with my daughter in it while we build it, but I dont want to post pics of other people including my kids in the internet. I believe in privacy in  that matter.

Working from home, boring data analysis.
The stuff that can be awesome but boring as hell on some days. Today is the latter.
Trapper again as a toy to keep hands buisy.

Like the red bone covers on your Trapper. The Trapper transition from the woods to the cyber world.    :tu:

Two actually. The Trapper for wood work and foodprep, so 95% of my outdoor cutting jobs. Here I enjoy the large blade.
Texas Jack when office duty. Like the Barlow, too but the blade is shorter, and its heavier.

A mix of both would be my favourite, a Trapper with a shorter wharncliffe blade for whittling...  :ahhh

Tomorrow I guess I will go with the Stockman again, havent ccarried that often because the blades stick out too much.

Day 24.

Medium Stockman as promised. Prepared goose, had to cut onions, apples and oranges for thr filling.
And remove neck, all done with the Case. A bit small but it worked.

Wish you all a merry christmas, in germany presents are opened todays evening. The Stockman should do the trick.  :gimme:

25.

Goose was delicious and big enough for tomorrows lunch, too.

Not much cutting action today, everything was prepared yesterday. Carried the Barlow, but wasnt used, had to take a SAK for opening the wine bottle.

A little whittling with Seahorse Whittler in the evening though.
