Where is there plastic on a ALX?
Quote from: Benner on January 14, 2009, 11:25:49 PMWhere is there plastic on a ALX?The thing I called plastic, Leatherman calls 6061-T6 Hard-anodized Aluminum Handle Scale. Dam, I had no idea it was aluminum, was sure it was plastic ore some other fancy stuff
How could it be a Fuse or Blast if he said he liked the one handed opening blades; or how he talked about the cutting hook?
I have a theory that the 'X' stands for 'Extra Driver', being the difference between the AL and the ALX, like the XTi and Ti. I guess AL-S (- scissors) wasn't as catchy!
Cool I was getting worried! I would hate to see you get a blast or fuse if you ordered a ALX

Edit: this is what made me come to that conclusion: "The Leatherman Charge ALX swaps out the Charge AL scissors for an aggressive cutting hook on the back of the serrated blade."
Then the TTi should be a TTiX, no?
QuoteThen the TTi should be a TTiX, no?Look at the XTi and the Ti.. It's the same thing..
