Leatherman Charge TTi Camo
on: January 15, 2009, 09:02:33 AM
Hey guys :)

For a Christmas present a mate of mine you knew I loved MT's bought me a LM Charge(which weirdly for a MT addict...I didn't have!)

However I've never seen this Leatherman in this colouration...especially in Australia. But I do know that Cabela's sells one in there special woodland colours.

Here's a pic

So it leads me to this question...
Is it a knockoff or not???
If it is a knockoff....dude is it a very good one!

If you guys need any extra pictures of certain parts or even the box I will gladly take pictures of them.

Thanks in advance!

The camo pattern certainly looks like Leatherman  . That is some mate Tinnie ,I hope he did not buy it locally , that would be a $200+ purchase.

Ahh the good old days when we got 93c to the $ . Tinnie I was super chuffed to get a LM Crunch for $52us delivered & it was practically new (no sheath though). I wish I had a mate like yours  :pok: , can not complain too much the wife got me started with a LM Surge & she bought it from a OZ web seller (mega bucks I reckon) .

200 sounds like a bargain for a Charge TTI in Aus!

Good to see another Aus member too.

These Pommies & Canucks have had it their way for far too long.

imo 200 is about the average for a charge tti

some places can go as low as 180 and some as crazy as 300

This is the site where I shop to get my MT's and Knives
http://www.cuttingedgeknives.com.au/index.php (I think you guys have seen this site before)

Good prices and good service!

BTW is there a thread with a collection of links to online stores? That would be really helpful!

Its legit.  Those were made exclusively for Bass Pro Shops, a chain of hunting & fishing stores in the U.S.

Link: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_97738____SearchResults

I think the stainless finish/green camo looks WAY better than the black finish/brown camo that was done for Cabelas. 8)

This is a certified knock off. You are obligated by law to mail it in for melting. Address pending via PM.  ;)

Yup I agree with Bob. The BP is certainly better looking than the Cabellas one.

Theres a firm in the UK who will immersion coat most objects in a wide variety of colours inclouding realtree camo. Hunters use them a lot for rifles, scopes etc. Never used them myself but have heard that the coating if pretty hardwearing.

Wouldn't trust myself with a camo tool as I'd lose it. Does look nice though.

Besides the blade, are there other differences between the XTi and a TTi? If there aren't any, then it's a Charge TTi with a cm154 blade.

There is one other difference, in that the XTi has an extra bit driver in place of the TTi's scissors. I think that's it. Both have cap-crimper and gut-hook, I can't think of anything else.

Yeah, the XTi has two bit drivers.. Whereas the TTi has scissors, the large slotted driver, and an S30v blade!

The camo sheath is very nice! but it's bulky, compared with the nylon sheath
