Day 1

I have a feeling scissors will carry many of us through this challenge.
(Image removed from quote.)
Scissors are one of my favorite tools on a SAK and I definitely think this challenge will make me appreciate them even more.

I don't have any bladeless tools, so I won't be in on this with you all .. but I'll be on the sidelines cheering you on.
I
ReamerPunch can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe, because many people do not have a bladeless tool, carrying a tool with a knife is allowed, you just have to avoid using the actual blade.

True. Carry what you like, but for the sake of the challenge, avoid using the blade if possible.

I mean, I've done this before. It's amazing how often the things you need are already under your nose (until you go off-grid, but that's not what we're talking about here.) This is especially true when you have home field advantage, and know where everything is.

Even so, most days I'll have a CRKT KERT (I will call it KERmiT, obviously) and a bike tool with me. Here's Kermit with my modified Park IB-11.

Discontinued and modified? wow!

I replaced the slot screwdriver on the IB-11 with 2mm and 2.5mm hex keys. Almost any part on either of my bicycles can be fixed with just 3-6mm keys (and one 8mm adapter for the crank bolts, I guess), but my bell and out-front computer mount both use 2.5mm for some bizarre reason.

I'm going to be honest — I think I'm going to find this very easy. That said, there's only one way to find out.

Will be interesting to see what everyone does for the month

I use a blade daily so this wouldn't be a feasible thing for me to do and beyond a challenge  :ahhh

Good luck to all you brave souls :salute:

True fact! That's what makes it a challenge, rather than a regular fun play date.

Day 1
The newly named YeoCho (Yeoman with file replacing blade made by Poncho) is the tool of choice.  The combo tool helped by opening some boxes and the scissors opened a package of bullies

The inline phillips also saved the day by helping a stranger looking for a screwdriver.

The entire contents of my pocket today.

I didn't need KERmiT even one time today. I used the Park IB-11 to tweak my front derailleur. I finally have it dialled in just right.

I did need some scissors at work, but that place is lousy with scissors, so I just used a pair of those. I also needed a screwdriver to reattach the back of a chair. I used a 25-year-old no-name stainless multi-driver I keep in my satchel at work anyway.

This screwdriver has seen some...uh...things.

Also pictured: the nail scissors I keep in my washroom at home. I'm 99% sure they came from a long lost Swisscard, and are kept closed when not in use by a plastic thing stolen from a locking S-Biner. I used them to trim a donked-up fingernail.

At home, I fixed and ate my dinner with normal human kitchen utensils, like a normal human would. I used my old Swing-A-Way can opener, which was already used when I got it for university 21 years ago, and still outperforms any multitool can opener on the planet.

Yes, you do.  I asked for help naming it in a thread and YeoCho won.

Day 2
The YeoCho helped cut open a package of crackers and open a beer

I did have my first need of a knife, but it was aplastic one, to cut a piece pecan coffee roll.  I probably could have just ripped it or used the file, but prefer a knife for a clean cut.

KERmiT opened a glasses repair kit.

I know this is supposed to be a seatbelt cutter, but it's no shrinking violet.

A friend needed help taking apart a surprisingly complex bedframe, which was apparently assembled by a team of highly trained professionals who couldn't tell a screwdriver from a box of jalapeno poppers. Surprisingly, the bike tool did most of the work again (4mm hex tools are a furniture assembly standard.) KERmiT and my multi-driver also made appearances.

After dinner, a box of cookies tried to stay sealed, but KERmiT fought bravely.

I doubt regular kitchen hardware (plastic or not) will hurt anyone's feelings.
