DAY 30

New tech arrived for my wife and I but I was a little disappointed with the packaging as I didn’t need the 110 to open anything

Well that my last entry and what a great challenge it’s been. I’m going to read back over the posts because I had to speed read a lot due to work and being busy but I have this weekend off  :tu:

Day 30

Sure was a good challenge. Enjoyed everyone's post's and pic's. I've had a Buck 110 since I was 18 years old. Edc'd one for years. I edc the Smoke Jumper for the last several years. It doesn't make it into the pics very often but it's on my belt during the work week. I carried the heavier 110s in a Horsewright Buckaroo pouch and found it much to my liking. Thank you for the magnet Comis. Happy trails!

Excellent finish!  :tu:

I thought I would go ahead and run the GAW since everyone finished up with Day 30 already.

Now this may seem a bit strange, but with just 14 qualifying Fools, I decided to enter everyone on the list twice. While I trust Random.org to generate a random number, it oftens seems that the number falls between the first and the last, but rarely on the first or the last. So it just seemed to add a bit of extra 'randomness' to enter everyone twice.  This is why the list looks a bit funny.....because I was being a bit paranoid and a bit weird and a bit....foolish.

But what's new?

I liked Barry's strategy of crowding around the 7 and the 8. At least I'd be shipping to the states if he won..... :ahhh....

Well....after creating my novel list...I got Random.org to pick me a winner......

Congratulations Echotech and thanks for the chance Jack. I was a little worried in case my name came out and I won again this year , I would have felt really bad , so glad it’s gone to a good home.

Can’t wait for the pics and if it’s even half as nice as my special 110 your gonna love it.

Here’s a pic of the 2020 110 enjoying the sunshine last year on a walk by the river

Great job on the coconut Comis  :tu:

You are very kind Sir sending out free magnets  :hatsoff:
You may actually have me introduced to yet another problem with collecting something here  :like:
 :D

Day 30
This has been one of the easiest challenges I've participated in.  I can't think of anything bad to say about the Buck 110.  I think I'm going to miss it when I stop carrying it, but tomorrow starts a new month and a new challenge.

The Folding Hunter (other than a Buck 110) challenge is open to anyone with a knife that meets the same basic design parameters as the Buck 110 but is made by other companies. I will have to transition from the Buck 110 to the Schrade 60t (see the photo).  This may be an exceedingly difficult transition. I hope I can work through it. It might get emotional.

Emotional always make good drama...

Fool's Day 30:

(Image removed from quote.)

Well...we are coming to the end of another foolish challenge...   A big thanks to each and awl who helped to make this a fun and photo-filled month of 110's. You guys awl-ways make these challenges fun and worthwhile.  :hatsoff:

My enthusiasm for this knife remains undiminished. Once again I'm amazed by how the 110 seems to disappear into a pocket caddy. I used a back pocket caddy and, more often, a front pocket caddy. I used a belt sheath for a couple of days, but, without thinking about it, reverted to a pocket caddy.

I'd agree with everyone else that it is a bit bit for EDC....although I just EDC'd the thing for 30 days....  Regardless, it is a pleasure for me to use and I can't imagine not having one in the knife drawer to use for adventures.

zoidberg's experience is a bit concerning. (Did that issue get resolved or worsen?) Despite the rugged design of the 110, awl folders are subject to stress at the hinge. His experience reinforces a bias I have against folder and in favor of fixies. "Fixed blade knives don't start out broken."

I think I won't try to make a feather stick from dry-aged rebar now.......

Nevertheless, the 110 has been such a reliable and convenient companion for me that I expect my 110's will get more carry than most of my fixies. And I can't think of another folder that I enjoy using more. (Emphasis on 'using'.)

To celebrate this challenge, we are doing a second GAW of the Multotool.org 110 of 2021 as shown in the opening posts of this thread.  :woohoo:

I'll wait until everyone has had a chance to make his or her final post before compiling the list of (right honorable) fools who qualify for the drawing.

comis has generously sponsored the slick refrigerator magnets for this challenge and I'm stoked to see those go out once they are made.  :hatsoff:   :woohoo:

As usual any reimbursement claims for NSAID's, Tylenol, back braces, and chiropractic care used during the challenge should be submitted to Fuzzbucket. He knows how to deal with these issues promptly. I don't know the details, but he's mentioned something about an advance midden distribution system to resolve these things.   :tu:

Best of luck to each of you!   :tu:
That's a great wrap! :tu:
