Thank you all for the kind words.
I felt badly not posting photos right away, so I figured I better get some photos up since I had promised I would.
Now she's back to being a shelf queen.  :hatsoff:

Thanks for the pics! It looks awesome!

The headpin looks uncommonly large. But everything else looks factory made.
I found this video on YouTube, and it seems to have the same headpin.  Do you think so?

Looks good/original to me. It’s hard to tell from pics, and I don’t know exactly how the pins were handled that long ago...but the first thing I would check for is how flush and flat the head is on the front/shield side. Since the scales aren’t very worn, I’d expect the pins to be very flush and flat.

Watching Hobie’s restoration part 2 on that knife honestly freaks me out a bit. Cleanup is great but I’d hesitate to deploy more than one tool at a time on anything before 1970. And at least not more than one in any given layer. The other thing I generally avoid is over polishing brass or nickel silver. From what I can tell, those were never polished to a shine at the factory and it’s tricky to remove rust in an assembled knife without doing any polishing. Typically a ‘mill’ finish from rolling the sheet stock and misc tooling marks from the cutting and shaping of the liners. But looks like you don’t need to worry about that with aluminum? liners. And I can’t imagine operating the knife without at least a drop or dab of oil at the round of the tang.

Yes seems to be the same. Those are steel pins. You need a lot of force to put it that flat. There s no reason to do it, because normally the diameter of the pins are just 2 or 2.2 mm.

"Normally" the head pin on a spartan looks like that:

Yes I think it is.

Maybe the guy who assembled the knife just was a strong one :-)

Possibly.
Please look again.  Here is more of a close up from the seller's photos.  It is not perfectly clean round.  It has a little spread/feathering.

It looks alright to me. Could be that there was a tool change in the early beginning of that knife (mainblade or screwdriver). When you drill out a pin, the hole in the scales goes bigger, and after new assembling, it could look like this (at least when I try to do things like that :-). But unless all the tools and also the scales are from the same time period, its still all original.
