i will admit,i wasn't into Leatherman at the beginning,my first was a bucktool,in 96 or so.
when the wave was introduced,i was infatuated,and got 1 from my dad in 99 [i gave him the Buck,which he still has].
i got a Surge in 06 or 07,and an ST not long after.
i only started "collecting" in 2018,when i got a PST in a trade.
i felt like kicking myself for waiting so long. i dig that model,and will get more [i got a sideclip in 2019,and a beat up PST 2 a few months ago].
i almost did not have a PST,and let me tell you,it was pretty close. :D

Yep, just toys or nick-knacks.

Considering the condition of some of my knives, NICK-knacks.

Long ago I realized that buying real tools for my young kids was cheaper than buying toy tools..... Who wants to pay $30 for a set of plastic tools, when you can come up with a cheap set of real tools at the dollar store for less?  ::)

Nix and I have been talking about the PST recently as I've never owned one. (don't think I've even seen one in the flesh).
I think the lack of woodsaw plus the (minor) discomfort of the handle design would put me off using it setting as I have a Spirit, Wave and MP400  at hand.

Real tools for kids is something that should be done :salute: I had a real hammer and the Handy Andy tools I had when I was a kid were all fairly real tools as well :o I still have the little metal handsaw and the hammer that came with it :salute: My parents watched me and made sure I didn't hurt myself but once they were sure I wouldn't then off to the back yard to play with them :D

I use a lot of them but you can't use them all :whistle: I am a collector as well because I like the engineering behind Mts in general but some aren't as practical to carry, so they don't get used :cheers: I rarely sell stuff like that because I am.very certain when I purchase it that I will either use it or just have it to keep :tu:

Yep, so far.... (of course, I didn't say what age I gave what tools to them).... None of them have their own guns so far....

Real tools for kids is something that should be done :salute: I had a real hammer and the Handy Andy tools I had when I was a kid were all fairly real tools as well :o I still have the little metal handsaw and the hammer that came with it :salute: My parents watched me and made sure I didn't hurt myself but once they were sure I wouldn't then off to the back yard to play with them :D

Ah yes, I had a Handy Andy set when I was a kid, too. Got it used at a yardsale, I believe. My parents were big on yard saling. We called it "going yard sailing" as in sailing through other people's yards, to see what we could harvest from the sea of used merchandise.....

Interesting, your anniversary date on here is the same as my daughter's birthday.  She's a wee bit older than your MTO age though.

I may have missed your post in this thread?  I pulled only those who posted in this thread stating they have never owned a PST.
