Welcome.

This thread is 4 1/2 years old.

You want to start a new thread and pose that question to all members,as others have added items to their kits, including a different SAK.

Sorry. I’ll try posting elsewhere. Wasn’t aware of rules replying to older threads.

You may get a better response if you start a new thread with your questions about these SOS kits.

Several of the responders haven't posted in a while.

Thanks for the tip. I will do that.
And BTW, that’s a nice collection of SOS kits you have.

Hi Bouget - Welcome to the forum    :salute:

There are no rules around reviving old threads - And sometimes the older threads are very useful as some of the queries may already have been answered and content be useful.
Toolguy is just pointing out that this is an old thread - and some members may not still be active.
Here at MTo - we hope to keep all our members active and contributing - But a fact of life is some members may have moved on.

At the end of the day it is just up to the member to decide whether to revive on old thread or start a new one.
If the thread title (and content) matches what you are looking for - By all means use it again
If you are looking for something somewhat different start a new one !

We are pretty easy going at MTo    :D      What is for sure is someone here will know the answer or be able to contribute  :tu:
And feel free to bump a thread if no-one does !!

Thank you for the welcome Huntsman.
I came across this forum while looking for a new SAK. The last two I have were from the 80s. Then had Leathermen  afterwards and more recently Spyderco’s. Now I wanted to go back to a SAK for the large amount of tools in a small size. So I recently picked up a model I’ve wanted for a very long time. The Swisschamp. And got it in the version I’ve wanted almost as long, the SOS Kit.

Here the contents of the older kits. Both kits could be bought without the knife, so the customer him/herself could choose which knife to carry.

Congratulations Bourget!  I'm a big fan of Spyderco and SAKs too.  I've had a couple of Swisschamps, and currently have a gray frame Swisschamp, Minichamp, and most recently a Workchamp.  I agree with you about the tool density in such a small package.  Welcome aboard!
Barry
