Hmm...the Bond looks like it could be a decent work carry. I'd be happy enough with black oxide.

Why settle for black oxide when you can dream of dlc?

Apparently the new colours are available on Amazon in the US.
Three different two-tone versions, all with steel tools.
A green, a purple/pink, and an orange/brownish.
Three different nylon sheaths to go with them.
I’ll not post the pictures here, but they’re on Reddit.

joining the club late.
Somehow this newly bought bond is with gen 1 blade.

I was worrying I will end up spending more to get the BO and Tan.  Seems that will not be the case anymore :).

Doesn’t look like it, but there’s always the Rebar 😆

Designer Bonds!!!

Wonder if it would hard to pick up matching nail polish to make it a gift set for Christmas or a Birthday.

They are absolutely horrendous. The only reason to get one is that no one will, making them eventual collectors items.

It was my suspicion that the new color offering was to be slanted toward the feminine market.  The sheaths too!

Too bad that the SS version is not provided with a Grey Sheath.

PS:  is it just me, the new colors no longer appear in Amazon via the link. 🥺

The scales being different colors are bad enough. The coordinating sheaths are even worse. Sorry, Leatherman, but these get a :td: from me.

Three out of the six colours actually look quite good, but I’d definitely prefer both handles to be the same.

Ah well, at least they’re releasing something.

I don’t understand the whole two-tone thing with LM. Big time turnoff. Oh well, I’m still buying one of each for the simple fact that the minute that LM pulls the plug on them a ton of people who wouldn’t pay $70 retail for one will immediately be willing to pay $250.  :2tu:

I like the two colors of green, but I'd want one that's dark green or medium green overall. Maybe that would be possible through the custom shop?

I’ve been thinking about grinding a wave diamond file to fit in a bond. A rebar serrated blade could be ground flat on half and make a safer update for the old style blade. The sheepsfoot cut on the serrated blade is less likely to pop up over the handles than the plain edge from before the update.

Now I want to mimic a pst2 with a bond lol
Finally got around to building this one

The diamond file came from a pst 2
The blade is a Rebar serrated blade filed smooth on half
The scissors and mini bit holder are probaly from a wave, maybe a charge
The rest of it is bond

Thank you very much!
I just found a Bond at a flea market for only 50 bucks (I hope I didn't overpay, but the seller swears that the pliers are like new). The tool worked, lay around, rusted, but it's okay, I'll polish it and repair it. I'll take your project as a basis, i.e. the idea.

And once again - great mod!
