You can't fly or telepathically communicate with moths?

Not getting superpowers is going to suck.

I was working last Thursday and Friday helping with the graduation at work when I was approached by a fellow co-worker about getting a second dose. Apparently, she has a family member who works at the hospital, and she was tasked with trying to get some second dose vaccines into teacher arms. I told her me and the partner got our first dose of Pfizer on May 28th. She said I would sign up for a second dose of Moderna if it had been at least 21 days between the two. End result, I and the partner are getting our second dose this Wednesday June 30th at the hospital. I was expecting sometime later in July...so this appears to be quite fortuitous. At least we will both get this over with sooner than later. Best part, I am off first day of summer holidays on June 30th...this way if there are any unforeseen side effects, it will not affect my work.

Yep, there's what looks like an eraser at the bottom left just below the poll results to remove your first vote so you can vote again

Yup, I saw that, I changed the poll option so you could change the vote, but I'm on the phone and having moderator powers, I didn't want to take the chance of possiblity deleting all the votes so far :ahhh

Adjusted my vote to Yes, both shots or my vaccine only needs one, but technically the correct option is not there (just one shot needed because I had covid a few months back).

I heard an ad on the radio this morning about getting your vaccination and they mentioned the possible side effects of soreness at the injection site, headaches and something else. They said these are signs that your body is learning to fight the virus, which puts a positive spin on it. (Like soreness a day or two after the gym because you're building muscle, which is a good thing)

I got my second dose today as well- Moderna this time I think.  At least that's what it was supposed to be....

I wore my Captain America shirt to the appointment, because I thought that was most appropriate for the government injecting me with an experimental drug meant to make me invincible.

I also read that mixing up the vaccines made them more effective so I got them to put it in my other arm.

In all seriousness, I had less of an allergic reaction to this one than I did for my earlier one, and my internet coverage at work still sucks so the 5G theory is blown to Hades.

We both have our appointment tomorrow morning at around 9:45ish at the hospital for our second dose. I am hoping the most painful part is paying the 6 dollar parking fee.  :D

I was fine all day, but had a bit of a rough night.  I was in bed by 2130-2200 (normal time since I'm up at 5) and woke up around 1 to use the washroom.  I couldn't get comfortable after that, and the injection site was (and still is) quite tender.  I had trouble this morning lifting my arm to get a dish off a top shelf.

I drifted in and out of sleep most of the night, tossing and turning and then, around 0130 or so I started to develop the chills.  Admittedly I did have the AC on next to me, because it was well into the 30's yesterday, but the bedroom wasn't that cold.  My barely conscious brain then recalled that this happened last time, and putting on more clothes would just dehydrate me to the point where I'd feel even worse when I eventually felt even worse.

As expected, I am feeling pretty run down today, but I'm okay and I'm still going to work.  I imagine once I get going I'll start to feel better, at least until the 30+ day while wearing safety gear in the hot sun starts to get to me instead!   :ahhh

In short, I don't think it is any worse than last time, but knowing what I did wrong last time has lead me to be better able to deal with it this time, and that's an improvement.

Got a second dose of Pfizer. I was told it might be moderna. Either way would have been great. So that is 2 shots of Pfizer for me and the missus. No sore arm or anything...yet...but it has only been a little over an hour ago that I got it...so fingers crossed.
