Tradional Iisakki Järvenpää puukko from late eighties. An officer training course knife from miltary service. It was - still is I think - a common thing for classes/courses/special units to have these made.

Day 36/60
Went for a little hike today.
No tree was harmed for these pictures (this one was dead).

You have a beautiful forest there!

Day 36

These are the 2 swisschamps that I have been using during the challenge, plus the green one occasionally. One set up for pocket clip carry, the other for belt sheath. They are almost exactly 30 years apart in age and I bought both new. The old one has no hook or pin slot. No problem to carry either so far. I believe I've used all tools at least once so far during the challenge. Quiet day here, no work, fishing or hunting. Just feeding animals. Only tools used today was magnifier to identify a spider and small blade to cut bale strings.

Awesome. I need to travel there sometime. My family is from County Donegal, several generations ago. I hope they weren't forced to leave at gunpoint

Donegal is beautiful  :2tu:
Although, it's the county with the most rain in Ireland. I think there's a good chance your ancestors left at their own choice  :dunno:

Funny, I ended up here in an area where we get 120-150 inches of snow every year.

I'm still not tired of carrying the Swiss Champ. In fact.....I think I like it more than ever......

Pen blade helping with a little leather work. I didn't realize the blade was so in need of a cleaning until I saw the photo. I'll get to that.......

Day 5 of 30 (Stack Challenge)

Opening the Swiss slices for the bacon, Swiss, and egg tortilla wraps.

Last month in the Daredevil Challenge, the serrated Wenger-design scissors on my Delemont Evolution S557 couldn't get through this plastic bag at all.

The Vic scissors on the Swiss Champ ate it up like I ate up the wraps!

Day 37:
Last weekend was my last IPSC revolver competition of the season. Time to take stock and relax for a few days before I’ll start ramping up the training for IPSC AA Nationals in November and hopefully also putting pedal to the metal in the gym (informal gym comp sometime prior Christmas is in plans):

Really heavy smoke in the area. More time inside. Finished up a little craft project, a bag for a fire kit.

Swiss champ's small blade, awl, scissors, and....cap lifter each gave a hand.
