Day 54 already!

Today I opened some cans for the wife. Scissors cut some strips of paper to identify test loads. I also used the toothpick to move single powder grains from one pan to another.

:iagree: 💯 percent on the tea scaler my friend! How long do you typically let yours steep?

I’ve heard about 5 minutes* is right but I’m usually too impatient!

*or an inch and a quarter on the scaler  >:D

5 minutes seems to be the general consensus.  That's my steeping time.  Time to try scaler time

I pour the boiling water in, then set the timer for 4 minutes. By the time I turn off the timer and remove the tea, it has been somewhere between 4m30s and 5m. Everyonce in a wile I turn off the timer and forget to remove the tea......

Day 54 of 60:

S'champ main blade got used to trim some paracord. I had improvised some tarp tie-downs and there wasn't time to seal the paracord. Main blade trimmed the ends nicely, the Bic melted them shut.

Later, the main blade harvested some lettuce, tomatoes, and helped trim a couple of monster carrots.

A good day for the main blade.  :D

Day 23 of 30 (Stack Challenge)

A quiet evening at home. Mrs P cooking dinner on the gas stove top. Suddenly, she drops a plastic milk jug cap into the grill!

Quick, turn off the burner before the plastic melts.

Can't lift off the grill as it's too hot. What to do?

Pliers to the rescue - as seen in this dramatic recreation photo.

The plastic cap survived unscathed!

I guess if I was clever I would invent a gravity driven cradle mechanism with the Universal Scaler on a SwissChamp descending on a ratchet into the tea so that you could properly measure the brewing time

But I'm not that clever.
