Day 56: 27 pumpkins harvested with the help of the Swiss Champ's main blade.  Best harvest we've ever had!

From time to time, I like to jump on Vic's website and read the reviews, especially of the Swiss Champ.  This knife is an absolute legend!  It's amazing some of the things people have done with theirs.  It reads like an adventure novel.

Robert of SAK Guy fame is the one who got me steered into the Swiss Champ.  His story of hiking Europe in the Seventies with his Champion steered me into looking for the Swiss Champ.  I liked having the pliers for working on small items, and as a hook remover when I went fishing.  I could get used to carrying this knife every day from here on out.  I barely notice it, and the extra girth doesn't bother me at all.  In fact, I actually like the bigger grip it affords.

Just some Saturday ramblings.

Day 56 of 60

Used today flathead to tighten door hinges on my parents apartment. Door was closing poorly and was wobbling little but tightening hinges did the trick and door worked like a charm.

Day 56

This morning my buddies and I found a 6 man limit of honkers. They're all totally used to me cleaning geese with the champ now, and I am getting faster at cleaning the champ. Once I got home I opened a healthy snack with the scissors.

 :iagree:

I used to think the Swiss Champ was a bit of a novelty. Now it has become a valued companion knife. My previous Swiss Champ challenges, and now this one, have really changed my perspective on the old Swiss Champ. I think this 60-day challenge has been more valuable for me than I thought it would be, in that respect. The Swiss Champ is starting to feel like "the one".

Maybe it's just.....  :dunno:

We eat a lot of it while hunting, and my friends and neighbors all get their annual allotment.

I don't know about overseas, but before 9/11 here in the US I remember being able to show up at the airport 30 minutes before flight time, with checked bags, and still make my flight easily.
