Jackle track on our bush walk today.

85 odd miles on the bike today. Scissors to open a fresh sachet of recovery drink which almost tastes chocolatey. Ish. But does the job

Day 15 of 60:

Wildfire smoke has made the air nearly as bad as that of Victorian London.
( OK, perhaps I exaggerate for effect a bit.  :dunno: )

Used a respirator while out watering the pot plants. Even so, my eyes sting a bit. I don't foresee any outside uses today......

The light in that shot is weirdly orange because the sun isn't working properly. Seems dim and very orange......

The new motor tax disc arrived...
I didn't know they still existed in paper format  :ahhh

The UK went on-line years ago, so much easier (also they don't get stolen off bikes  :tu: )

I guess that's why sunsets have been orange over lake Michigan, must be tough out there!

Day 15

Had to do some downrigger cable repair today. Corkscrew, chisel, pliers, medium screwdriver and small screwdriver all came into play. Finally had to call in big brother and some gorilla tape. Good as new and headed out fishing.

One of my favorite things about MTo is the International aspect. As a resident of the southern US,, it's not very often that we consider such things as jackal tracks. Thanks for sharing!

I know that plane!  In addition to the DC3, my Dad flew the civilianized version of it, the Lockheed Loadstar, many years back.  Looks like a great book Phil.  Now for the manicure....

The DC3 was a very cool plane. I've been able to fly a few times in a DC3--there is a rugged thrill and sense of fun flying in those old workhorses!

The 1st SSF, trained in my home town, played a role in the Aleutian campaign. Funny little corner of the war.

They sure are some aircraft buddy!  They just keep going and going.

The 1st SSF was some unit!  Case made their daggers.  At least in US Military terms, they were a unit ahead of their time.

Indeed.

And especially interesting for being a military unit made up of US and Canadian active duty. Unique for the Allies as far as I know.
