The snow is all gone, it only lasted about 5 days.  It is unusual here.  Plows only do major roads.  Salt is only done by businesses and residents so ice can be problem. 

Since breaking my foot a couple years ago, I do wear regular shoes more, but still prefer my sandals.  Waterproof socks are a feet-saver in this ugly weather; my favorite are a pair from Dexshell that are wool lined
