Sad news about SAK collector Robert Moix

I'm saddened to learn from his wife that my friend and Swiss Army knife expert Robert Moix from Nax, Switzerland, passed away on July 8, 2021 after a long illness.

Robert was best known in Switzerland as a collector and professional expert on army knives, but also for his social involvement with the elderly and the rescue of young offenders.

Robert had created a very interesting website where he had referenced all the knowledge about the knives of the Swiss soldier that he had gathered throughout his life. This website still exists: https://www.couteaux-du-soldat-suisse.ch

Robert's passing is a huge loss to the SAK collecting community.

RIP Robert. You will be missed.

I dealt with Robert a couple of times over the last few years and he was the nicest person to deal with.

And of course the 'Les Couteaux' site is the site for Soldier knives  .
