Yes, we do.  However, I fully support your right to eat the nasty little buggers. :salute: :hatsoff:

Powernoodle Day 29

The exciting life of a combo blade:  opening boxes, and then killing them.

Are we doing a couple of extra days then?  Some of us are already starting the next challenge.

Day 29 (March 1st)
Here's me transitioning from the partially serrated Myerchin A377P to the Victorinox Champion for the March of Champions Challenge.  Although, the titanium Myerchins carried as a primary blade pair well with other SAKs and multitools because they are so light they carry like they're not even there.  The marlin spike is just an added bonus that's there when you need it.  I highly recommend them.

March 1st and 2nd are the last two days of this challenge. It's a combo of months. (see what I did there?)

I hope the powers that be will allow a two day grace period to allow people to do both challenges in this situation.  :salute:

Those extra 2 days noted by Commander E.B. are due to February having only 28 days this year.  :salute:

Peeps and ketchup?!
 :dwts: :sa:

Yeah, that's like something you would see in Silence of the Lambs, right before the protagonist made a pair of ski pants out of the victim's skin.

Day 28

I wavered on whether to finish this challenge and have fallen behind a day. I doubt the mods will give me a badge for this challenge (just received the Mini Tool badge), but I decided finish it out anyway.

I have got along well enough with combo blades this month that I decided to buy one today for my tackle box. I choose this CRKT M16-10KS over a Gerber combo Paraframe 1:

Good choice, although they are basically the same knife rendered by different manufacturers.

Just one of my favorite glamour shots today. I used the knife to open a package of individually frozen salmon fillets. Just because.

DAY 30!  "How did that combo edge work for you, Fireman?"

It worked just fine.  I've owned a lot of combo edge knives, but currently own very few.  That's not the result of combo edge hate, it's just the way it has worked out.  The Signal blade did everything I asked of it, and neither part failed.  I did butcher the foil wrapping of my Girl Scout cookies, but that was the act of a desperate man, not the fault of the tool.  I really like the Signal overall, and it performed wonderfully over the month.  I even used the hard wire cutter to prune a neighbor's plant that was climbing over the fence.

Thanks to ElevenBlade for running the show, and to my fellow challengers for some great pics and amusing stories!

Day 30

My goal was to try out every combo blade I had, which turned out to be more than I realized. Overall, combo blades worked well enough for me. Only once did I have a situation where a PE blade or SE blade would have worked much better than the CE blade I had. The result was a bleeding thumb   :D

Thanks to ElevenBlade for hosting the challenge, and cheers to everyone who participated
