Seeing this topic got me a bit excited, hoping the ultimate El.tech. MT would be revealed inside..
Guess I should  have known better, but great topic and thread, nonetheless.

90% of what I need a MT for on a daily basis, is ad-hoc electronics/electrical work. 50+% of the time I have good, or even dedicated tools available within a couple of meters, so it's mostly a convenience thing. Some times a small convenience that saves me a minute or two, but some times a big convenience that saves me tens of minutes. The biggest thing is probably that I avoid the interruption and can keep my focus and flow. The actual walking across the room or even back to my office to get a tool, isn't the real issue.

The Squirt ES is the only "electrician" specific MT I have. For the few things I have to solve on the fly, that wasn't quite planned, this MT could have worked on paper, but it suffers from bad execution and ends up being pretty useless as booth a stripping tool and pliers. I haven't tried the PS version, but based on my experience with the Style PS, I assume the Squirt PS is at least a decent plier for its size.

Most days I just carry a slightly modified Cadet, where the can opener is ground down to a long(er) reaching 3mm flat head/slotted. It leaves me plier-less for my in-pocket-EDC, but it seems like having the drivers available on the Cadet solves most small surprises. The modified 3mm slotted driver fits perfectly in most screw down terminal blocks, the file takes care of small to medium sized Phillips and Pozidriv screws and the large slotted fits a range of cabinet access screws and does a fair job at prying. I hardly ever use the knife blade, but living in society that's ever less knife friendly and tolerant, the SAK blade isn't totally redundant.

Here's from a little maintenance job I did at home a couple weeks ago, changing the battery in one of my motion sensors and replacing the adhesive tape with a better quality one from 3M. Not the most demanding stuff, but goes to show how little you need to get basic stuff done, and how much of "that little stuff" you find in the Cadet:

I did stumble across these on my last visit to one of my tool suppliers, not sure why I haven't noticed them before, but seems like a good electricians multitool for light el. work. Strips the most common sizes I work with, precision pliers, side cutters and even ferrule crimpers. Not small enough to justify 24/7 carry for me, but handy enough to throw in the pocket for when I expect to need it:

Unfortunately, I can not personally recommend any of the multi-tools for full-time edc. None of them work well enough for me, though perhaps they work better for other people. However, I am a fan of many of the knives.

I went in to my local electrical shop to get these "T-rex" wire strippers:



They were out of stock, so I got this Duratech 3 in 1 Multifunction Tool. I have no idea if it's any good, but I was lured by the multifunction-ness. You flip the handles to change tools.

There is a latch to lock them closed when not in use:

I ended up buying the Knipex through my work account

As usual with Knipex, it’s a well made tool. Fit and finish is impeccable, but of course when trying to achieve a lot in one tool some features will be less capable than in a dedicated tool.
E.g. the wire stripper notches are sharp and well sized, but being positioned so far from the pivot, you loose that fine motor control which makes it less than ideal for short wires in tight spaces. Overall the compromises are well thought out and certainly worth the gain in compactness.
Would have been very cool if Knipex went ahead and offered this exact plier head with a folding handle
