I picked up this nice little classic. Its got the pointy file and the older one at that. Its a nice simple SAK that looks great too. My googlefu is weak. Any help on the logo would be appreciated.
So there's where it is! I'm glad you found it! I've been looking everywhere for it!It's my initials: PF. It costed too much to write my full name, so I just put PF plus the star.I'll send you my address so you can return it, thanks!
Lockheed P-7 has a degree of plausibility. However, that aircraft was only in development for a short time (mid-1980s to cancelation in 1990). Does the old style of nail file fit that time frame?https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_P-7(The above is intended solely as a broad baseline and a jumping-off point.)I, too, have a Victorinox with a mystery logo. Would it be more appropriate to post it herein, give it its own thread, or look for a thread that is a compilation of similar questions?
Perhaps the knife in question was presented to employees in celebration of Lockheed winning the P-7 contract. Although I agree that the window was very short: from October 1988 when they won the contract to July 1990 when it was cancelled.
I found the logo on a poster, on eBay of all places. The copyright on the poster states “©1989”. So that would fit with those dates. By the way, nice knife.
Great work . I believe we can say this has been solved.
