Suggestions for pocketable multi tool

Looking for some advice; I’m having that itch and I need to get a new tool   :multi:
Currently, I’m leaning strongly towards the Rebar, Bond and Spirit. If Leatherman still made the Juice that would be top contender.

 I know this is highly subjective, but of these, which would be easier to carry freely in a pocket, or have less bulk in a sheath?

I really love the sleek look of Bond but will miss the saw. The Rebar has all the tools I need and comes in BO, but not really a fan of clumping tools. The Spirit has everything going for it, but the price is a bit high for my liking, and the handle shape looks a bit awkward.

Since you're looking for something that will fit nice in your pocket, from your list I would choose the Bond with the optional pocket clip.

I think you should also consider the Sidekick.  I carried its sister tool, a Wingman, for a while due to how nice it fit in my pocket.  The Sidekick is the same size and it has your saw, so it might be exactly what you want.

I own a Rebar. Just before typing up this post, I tested it out in my pockets. When placed in a slim pocket (as on my tactical pants), it had a tendency to snag on removal. Back pocket carry might mitigate that some. For sheath carry, it isn't too bad...I'm just not a fan of the sheath supplied with it.

You could still get a Juice and its not a bad tool at all.  I was surprised how small it actually was ( S2 ).  As for the other tools mentioned  :dunno:. 

I carry my Spirit for work everyday.  I keep it in a sheath tho as it is a little heavy IMO for pocket carry.  Its a great tool and one you will not regret buying.  The tool opened is one heck of a comfortable tool.  No complaints from me about this tool over all. 

Now as for the Bond, I don't have one but any tool is IMO best coupled with a SAK.  I thing the lack of the saw can be overcome with a SAK with saw  :dunno:.  I guess thats my take on tools with missing implements that I like. 

I think with some looking you could find a Spirit at a decent price.

I find my wingman the most useful.

And its smooth rounded edges make it more pocket friendly than many others.

No saw, but everything else is useful
tools is what defines us as humans

Handle shape on spirit may look akward but when you use pliers there isnt better tool for it. Spirit and Rebars minus side is that those doesnt come with pocket clip like bond.

I have a ton of tools, and your choice may vary depending on how often and how hard you use you tool (so which size and weight you need).

As for a Tool that can be used all alone and the knifeblades are essential I would go for the LM Wave or Charge series. OHO (or with the new Wave 2H legal two handed) you are ready to go.

After years of carrying a tool, not needing it much, (so a just in case tool that is not on my person but in my bag etc ) I had to rethink.
I came to the point that the better solution for me is a good, lightweight folder in my pocket, maybe a SAK with few extra tools. This knife has better ergonomics and you can choose steel, size, form etc according to your needs. And then take a (maybe modded) bladeless tool for everything else. Using a tool as a knife for most of the time imho is not the best way to go.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I’ve got enough to make a decision and I think I’m going with the Bond.
For the price it’s too hard to pass up.
I’m probably still going to get a Rebar at some point and definitely a Spirit. The Spirit I want in BO is expensive for me right now so I’ll have to save for that one. 
I always have an SAK of some form or another in my pocket so I can easily make up for tools the Bond lacks.

Good choice.  The Bond is a great edc multitool.  Complimented extremely well by a SAK.

A Kick or a Fuse would both be good pocketable tools as well .

Get the Spirit. The handles look funny, but I assure you they are the furthest thing from awkward. 

The price is worth it.

Looks like you found your tool. Congrats!
My tool carry has been evolving due to lifestyle changes. I now only carry what’s in my office pants which doesn’t leave much in room. So for tools I carry a Cadet with a small carabiner, XS Knipex in a small pouch, and a flashlight, and a Spyderco Chaparral. Slim, pocketable items, and light. Small items that can handle jobs bigger than their size. Gerber Shard clipped to my keys.

I’ve tried carrying my modded Knifeless Fuse or Minitool. Just too darn large, bulgy or heavy for the tool set. My modded Skeletool was great but again the weight and slippy pocket clip turned me off.

On my off days I carry what I want👍
