Day 1 of 30

Can't believe it is already December 2021 :ahhh

I have a stainless steel Rebar with me today :woohoo:

It needs to be known that from when they released the Rebar back around 2012 to sometime in 2016 that I carried a stainless steel Rebar almost exclusively  8) No mods no nothing :D Just pure Rebar goodness :D So in the last decade the Rebar has been my most carried tool, followed by my Charge Plus and third by something from the Supertool family 8)

Enough talky talky, now a few pics :D

I googled it in the Mother Language.  Yes - its a totally different meaning in The Colonies.  I changed it to backpack.  That totally explains why Skade always giggles when I say it.

Two nations divided by the same language

Some very awesome pics today guys :salute: :tu: :like:

I used the saw on my Rebar and for those that have been watching or participating in the PST Challenge can note that my last use of day 30 was the saw that I had modded into my PST 1.5

Anywho, the Rebar saw is much superior because the use was almost exactly the same and the Rebars saw cut much more smoothly and faster as well :tu:

and Thanks all :hatsoff:

Day 02

December 2

Used the Rebar’s PE blade to remove some excess plastic from cheap clothes hangers so they don’t catch on the clothes.

A couple of hours later, I used the Rebar’s SE blade to cut thru a delivery package.

Yeah I’m eager for the pocket clip.  The Rebar falls into a horizontal position in my pockets on the pants I wear at home since it’s the only thing inside.

Edit: if I hold the tool with my right hand and take a picture with my left with the shutter button on my left, the pic is gonna be upside down.  If I take a picture with my right hand with the shutter on the right, picture is gonna look funny coz it’s a right-handed action with a left hand holding the tool in the picture hahaha

Day 2 - I did use my pliers today on a stubby zipper but unfortunately it was a two hand job so no action pic. But something else happened last night after the wife  went on a trip and the kids was put to bed.

I have both a rebar and a spirit x and while they have a lot in common, they are also very different. All of you who have both know this and sometimes it can be a hard choice. One thing that the spirit x have but the rebar is lacking are scissors.

Last night it was time for my first Leatherman mod. I guess I got lucky and finished it quite quick with very little puzzling and only lost the lanyard ring.

I moved the small driver to the other side, took out the lanyard ring and replaced it with the bushing from the other handle, I tried it without it at first but the tools where loose and the scissors was grinding against the file, then I grinded down the scissors plate just enough to clear the tip of the awl. It closes properly and works great! I know many of you already done this mod and I really understand why. What I don't understand are why I didn't do it sooner

Thank you all modders who showed me the way on how to do it. Nobody mentioned, nobody forgotten

Day 2

I was going for more of a monolith on the Moon type of picture, but there was too much stuff in the background. So I had to come in closer to take the picture.

When I first saw your pic, I was going to say that it looked like it was on the moon... so you succeeded!  :tu:

Nice work! Fixing the shape of the awl are my next work. Don't like how wide it is, yours looks much more practical

I normally prefer multitools without scissors because I rarely need them, but they're not as bad as some completely useless tools like a can opener.  That's why I really appreciate that Leatherman has a combination can/bottle opener .
