And it sucks. I'm only here for a few days so not worth buying one but yeah it sucks.

That is a terrible situation!

We have MTO members in almost every country, perhaps we should develop a tool loan program for poor traveling members! 

I can just picture some of you coming to my door and asking to borrow a Wave!  :D

From your remarks and my amazing powers of deduction, I would guess you're from Ireland and currently in Wales... which is understandably foreign. But if my reasoning is correct, you'll either be a short hop away from Heinnie Haynes and some decent prices on a small SAK (they used to do the 84mm Tinker for £12), or mere yards away from a plethora of camping shops that have permanent discounts on all manner of things, including SAKs and MTs... It'd probably be cheaper for you to subsequently post it home than their own mail order P&P costs, too!

I feel your pain. The way I see it, if you don’t want to go tooless  you have two options:
- get something you like and mail it home before leaving
- get something cheap and gift it to someone before leaving.

Plenty of outdoor shops here for sure and it really is me  :D
Only here for a couple days too much hassle buying and posting home; and I don't know anyone here possibly there are MTo members here.

That could be worthwhile if traveling to countries with very restrictive laws. A thread with reliable and verifiable information on various countries' laws pertaining to knives and multi-tools could also be useful, if we could find a way to implement that.
