Day 14

February 14

Happy Valentine’s Day!  The Mini was used to open up packages that arrived today (food).  If there’s one thing I realized is that even though I have small hands, I have to totally deploy the handle if I need to do serious work with the Mini pliers. It’s nice and small and compact and all that, but to really really get work done properly, I have to deploy the handles.

Day 14

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I am actually stuck at home today due to an unrelated issue, so I asked Snickers to participate. She hates having her picture taken, thus the blurry photo:

I like that knife!

Also, it's weird to think that there is still snow in parts of the country.  Here the temp got up to 91 this weekend   :ahhh

Day 15

February 15

Used the Mini’s blade to remove a plastic wrap label off a juice container.  Will be using the container to mix some stuff so best to remove whatever previous label it has on.

Day 14

The Mini isn't the best zip tie cutter because the pliers head it too large for most of my zip-tie-cutting applications, but it worked fantastic cutting one I had tied loose to organize some bags.

My Beijing is the same way.

Here the temp got up to 91 this weekend.
I'm envious. Tomorrow I'll be dealing with another high temperature below freezing.

More great photos, y'awl!

Hello to Day 15
Another Land Rover . This time a hand made model from Madagascar.
In the poorer parts of Africa the locals who are clearly very talented make curios and such for sale to tourists.
A lot of the tourists they  see are overlanders so make things they would like.  Most of the stuff is made from whatever they can find so I have several Landys made from empty oil or drink cans and bits of plastic.
Very clever and would be made by hand with no fancy tools or measuring equipment , not even a Multitool.

I used the needlenose to pull an enormous splinter from my delicate palm. The pain was tremendous, but I managed to soldier on despite the agony I was in.
