Day 16 Epilogue.

This is me on the last abseil drop and also me CLIMBING up a slimy vertical waterfall. :ahhh

Forgot to take the figure 8 safety knot when I pulled the rope through which got stuck in the ancho point ring.  :twak: Jury rigged a prusik and ATC as an ascender  but mostly chimneyed my way up the log and rock. There was a real chance the knot would slip through if I fell.  :ahhh

First time for everything, glad it was a figure 8 and not a overhand knot.

Had to look up where it was…I’ve done the Grand Canyon walk which is great but not heard of Jugglers Canyon before

Yeah usually an experienced group can do jugglers then grand back to back.

Grand on its own is a single 12m abseil and a few swims , good intro if your ever interested.

I like this idea, but I'm coming off the back off three challenges on the spin ahead of 90 days in this, so I have enjoyed some time without having to remember to take photos, upload them, etc...

However, I needed to open a packet of biscuits today, so...

We have the tools, we have the talent!

Day 19

Another uneventful day so decided to pose the ol'Soldier with my two smaller titanium drink bottles in case i need the photo for future reference.

410ml and 600ml, I have decided it's better to take something at all rather than continuously leave the 1100ml at home because its too bulky/heavy.

Added bonus is if i take both i have 1L and can play around with flavoured/unflavoured or offer untainted water to someone else in need.

In Brazil they do 200-300ml Cups of water with a peel lid, always thought they were a ridiculous option over the 450-600ml bottled water as you have to drink it in one go. Guess its a similar idea, don't carry it.

Day 20

Piezo ignition was temperamental on the old portable single burner camp stove, so i raised it a little higher and retightened the screw, finally a task!

It has been good for me, I started pocket carrying a 96 soldier I had in November/december in short spurts to test while i found my 83, the thinnest over the Farmer X is quite significant. I have been almost daily EDC-ing the Victorinox Spirit for many years now but have been deliberately leaving it at home and it's apparently not the end of the world  :ahhh

Day 21
10 days till offical deployment and i used the awl to clean the carbon deposits from cylinder no 4 of my ol' 92 suzuki sierra (samurai). Leaky head seals makes this a fortnightly task, which i may of put off longer than should and it gunks up pretty quick once it sets in.

My abiding memory was how smurfing difficult it was to find a pub :drink:

Parliament House had recently been finished so went for a tour of there and the war museum, a walk round Lake Burley Griffin and then the need for beer!

I checked in every day to see how your recon mission was progressing. You did pretty well, and you'll be amply prepared for the Soldier On! challenge.

Just one question: you fly the Brazilian flag, but you appear to be in Australia. Did you relocate, or are you just visiting?

Fluent Bilingual Dual National

Australian & Brazilian.  Born in Australia, grew up in Rio, came back to Australia in 92 when parents split.  Papa is Brazilian, Mum is Scottish +anglomix heritage Australian.

Saying I'm half-half would infer that I'm less than the others of either of my countrymen :D

Thaanks for the Suport all, look forward to everyone's Deployment updates
