The blade backspring of some two-layer knives (eg Picnicker) can take a back side tool, so you could try to put a hook there. The width should be OK but since the hook has a different tang compared to the awl or the corkscrew it might need some reworking.
The awl shouldn't be that hard to open. You could try to lubricate it or use the opener layer from your trekker, which might be easier to open. If all else fails, filing a little to round the right angle at the bottom may help (don't overdo it or it will become too loose, slow and with regular tests is the way to go).
