 Surge!  We have similar sweaters, lined and warm.

:like: This is a summer one (so unlined)

The lined ones were so warm that you didn't need a jacket unless it was raining*

DAY 6

Took off the big shower head for cleaning because a lot of the holes were clogged. Tried to disassemble it but is seems it is not meant to be taken apart. Dinged a bit the chisel and the can opener in the process, but not enough to bother repairing them. Will wait for more things to happen to them  :D
Cleaned as much as I could from the outside and soaked it in some detergent for the night. Will wash it and install back in place tomorrow.

Day 6
The Spirit helped cut open a box with a new powerbank and cut a package with a bully (but no photos).  It also was tab lifter for a refreshing brew.

DAY 6

Today was another day giving evidence (no real use)  ::)

However, I was asked by a friend if I had any of the old uniform we used to wear (seperately)

Subsequently, I found this NATO style pullover lurking in my uniform wardrobe  :salute:

Takes me back a few years  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
I do love a good wool sweater.

Day 7/30. More belt cutter letter opening so you don't need a pic of that. Instead here's one of my Woolly Pully's in plum. A really good design with those elbow and shoulder patches.

Day 7/31

It started off with a pretty cold morning here in Sydney. Winter is coming, but that did not damper the Spirit!!!

Food duties was the first for the day, then a quick pose with some coffee drip filter bag I am going to try for our upcoming bike trip. These are like a mini-filter but small enough to fit in a cup. Real coffee, roasted and packed in individual bags. Better than a lot of "brown stuff" served in the small towns. The boy-child and I will sample one of each in the morning. Tasting notes and detailed report to follow.  :D

The second task was trying to fix my chair in the second train I drove today. The bolt that holds the arm and adjustment mechanism is place dropped out, resulting in the arm flopping down. As mighty as the Spirit is, it lacked the correct Allen-Key to correctly fasten it. I ended up using the pliers, to get the bolt in as far as I could. The thread has been damaged and I could only get about half way in. A new bolt will be fitted in the maintenance centre overnight I was told. Pliers worked really well, no pinch point on my hands at all.

The last poser pic is with a brass pen and bronze watch. I like both metals as they age and develop a lovely individual patina. The pen is a cheap no-name brand, but one hell of a pen. Takes a Parker refill and has a good weight. The watch is made by Borealis, a micro brand from Portugal.

A good day out and real work was done!!!

Cheers, Pete

Day 7

A huge inflatable mattress my mom currently sleeps on started to deflate way too soon so I examined it throughly and luckily was able to find a small hole.

Spirit scissors do function alright so I used them to cut a patch.

Waiting for the glue to dry and hopefully it’ll do the trick for now

P.S.: there’s more
Turns out someone got tripped over the cable of the inflatable mattress and this cheap power strip got bent. Spirit to the rescue - even pliers got used to straighten the leads. They turned out to be ebony on the inside - never seen that before

My problem wasn't with limescale. It's some kind of slime that stays in jelly form but it's dense enough to clog the holes  :dunno:
