Day 12/31

G'Day,

Today was a busy day for the Spirit. Cutting duties for lunch making a salad and posing with some brisket for tonight's dinner. I decided that the leather pouch needs some dressing and needed the big flat screwdriver to open the tin. I'll buff that off tomorrow and then the pouch will be good for another few months. I usually give the pouches a bit of conditioner every few months. This one from RM Williams (famous boots in Oz) is a non waxy conditioner. It feels more like hand cream than leather conditioner. Last was cutting some Velcro ties for electrical cables. The scissors is fantastic!!! The blade got a quick sharpen and strop, it is again hair popping sharp.

This is most likely all for today, bonus pic may follow...

Cheers, Pete

Day 12

Let me tell you a story

We keep living in this rented apartment while shelling and war is still in place back at home. And I can’t just sit still, so I attempt to fix whatever I find
About a week ago a missing light above the bathroom sink caught my attention. I disassembled the control module using a Spirit ratchet

Of course I also removed the lightbulb

Bought a new one and put it in - no light

Also used wire strippers after making my malfunctioning wire cutters work

Checked the wiring with a test screwdriver

Still no luck.

Since I don’t have my multimeter here - I could only guess that probably a voltage converted needs replacement. So I ordered it and installed it today.
Disassembled using a Spirit Phillips

Then connected it using a small flathead

And still no luck. I ran out of ideas and will just leave it for now.

Conclusion - nope, you can’t always succeed
Dream. Wish. Leave nothing undone. Repeat.

Untangled the rope of the workshop blinds. I prefer to use the pliers for that.
