Day 12
Jerky taste test

That looks sensational. We have a similar dish here is Oz, originally from South Africa, that includes chillie, called chillie bites. One of my favourites. I doubt if they use such hot chillies, usually birds eye.

They are both delicious.  The red was really hot.  In addition to the Scorpion pepper it also has Carolina Reapers.

Looks good. I like Scorpion peppers...speaking of which have you tried the new Tobasco Scorpion hot sauce? My new favorite...

Day 13/31

G'Day,

Not much for the Spirit today. I buffed the sheath off this morning and it looks really good. Then found a dead 'roach and fed that to the ants.

DAY 13

Great shots and uses today awl  :salute:
Off out for a few jars (and the obligatory curry ) with a friend so I had one to 'wet the whistle'  :drink:

I used, mostly successfully, the awl to remove the cork but it was not the easiest  ::)

It's a cheeky little number and should be an after dinner sort of thing but, it'd been hanging around since Xmas (it was a gift from a cousin of Mrs Surge) and was the only cold one in the fridge so I thought I'd give it a go  :dunno:
It's 14 bloody percent  :ahhh :viking: :surrender:

Have a great Friday 13th everyone  >:D

DAY 13

A walk in the park carry. Total overkill but had to take Swisstool for the challenge, had to take the Case because it arrived today, and I just felt like a big sturdy folder with me so I choose the Pro lite tanto because it's light. None of it got any use but I felt prepared  :D

It worked great.  This weekend or early next week, I’m going to do some more experimenting with other configurations IF the rain will stay away.

Nice flight jacket.  Always liked those jackets, but as a surface officer, I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing one of them or brown shoes.

Used the serrated blade to open a box - man is this thing sharp. Also, new replacement arrived and it works properly - so happy about that.

Day 14/31

G'Day,

Lots to do for the Spirit today. Mostly cutting duties with the blade and the scissors. I tried using the electrical cord cutter but could not get a clean cut with it, I ended up using the blade.

I redid two wires for motorcycle fog-lights today. It took about two hours, including a trip to the hardware store to get the correct heat-shrink. The old cables were showing their age and the electrical tape was coming loose. The plug going into the lights was not sealing either, so that got some attention too. Once all the soldering and shrinking was done, I wrapped it in some automotive braided nylon cord for neatness and heat-shrinked the edges. I have to order a cable from BMW before I can fit it back to the bike. Very happy with the end result.

Then celebrated with a good coffee!!!

Cheers, Pete

Bonus Pics

I made some Don Pedro (alcoholic milkshake) for desert tonight. No help from the Spirit, but he was very interested. Ingredients: Double Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Frangelico Liqueur and a tine sprinkle of Cinnamon on top. Lovely stuff!!!
