Day 30

A bit of cord work at camp.  (Obviously, I took the 110 Slim Pro camping so I would have less weight to carry around.)

Thanks for a fun challenge all!

Unfortunately this challenge's end comes too late!

The repeating posts of Nate's new Hunter Sport made me looking it up on Copper and Clad's web site and there I spotted the 110 Slim Pro TRX I didn't know about yet.

Looks like it arrives early next week

Day 30

Thank you Nix for starting this great tradition on MTO and for your guidance. Another Buck 110 Challenge comes to an end my friends. Even tho I wasnt as fully engaged as I would have liked. It saddens me that we have come to the end of this years challenge. Enjoyed all the great 110's yawl carried, used and took pics of. Till next year "Happy Trails Buckaroos"     :tu:       :D

Day 30
I used the Buck 110 to remove the safety seal on some pills.  I have enjoyed using the Buck 110 this month and seeing everyone else's great pictures of their 110's in use.  Thanks Nix for creating this challenge and inspiring the rest of us even while you were still soldiering on with the Victorinox challenge. Congrats to all finishers and especially any who completed the challenge for the first time and earned a new badge.  May begins the Swiss Tool Challenge and the Folding Hunter (not a Buck 110) Challenge so good luck to those moving on to one of them. Have fun.

Day 29 (catchup)

Reamed out an old gas can lid neck so I could use it on a different can and an improvised cap.

Day 30, no use;

I have to admit, I liked the 110LT better than I thought I would. The regular LT just felt cheap, even in CPM-154 form. Balance was off. The 110LT has it just right. I'd like a drop point, which I swear Copper and Clad once offered as an SFO. I had the "new" Kabar 1189, and even did the first non-110 Folding Hunter challenge we had with it, but I just didn't like the feel of it, or its country of origin.

Plus, Buck doesn't have the color selection they did when I got mine. In addition to muted colors like black, tan, and OD green, you could get lime green, red, or blue. Orange is the only bright option being sold now.

I enjoyed following this challenge. Y'awl did a great job! Now I just need to find me (ideally) a blue slim 110 so I can participate next year.

:ahhh    We have a winner!    :ahhh

Our tradition includes awarding one random Fool a commemorative (but definitely to be used!) Buck 110. I know, I know....the Fool already has a 110...so why a 110?

Well.... this isn't called the Wise of April.....

I used a double random technique to select this year's recipient:

Farmer X --

Just so you know.....

The Buck 112 was developed because the Navy banned the 110. Apparently sailors....and I'm not pointing fingers....were getting into trouble with their 110's. After a few sailors got stabbed, a clever Captain banned 110's.

Well, the 110 was popular with sailors, and Buck responded to the ban by developing the 112. The 112 is an outstanding knife!

So...maybe you should look for a 112....just sayin'.... :pok:
