Good scoop! If these are legit it looks like they’re trying to address the complaints a lot of people have about the current tool selection. I like the bit driver and the craft blade holder.

That scissor design is interesting.  At first, I thought it was a worse design, but I just looked at my Free scissors and the ones in the diagram look bigger.

If they're legit, the Free series will start looking promising to me; for the price hike in the "traditional" models, and having addressed some of my 'dislikes', it might become my Wave contender. I'd still like to see a traditional awl in it, similar to the Rebar or ST00, even like the Signal's.

Pictures appear to be drawings that normally are part of a patent application filing. Would be interesting to know under which number it was filed...

Filing dates suggest this is a member of the patent family on which the Free P2/P4 was based. Pity the bit driver and blade holder never got past the design stage with LM. (Good thing fellow member ZapWizard fills the gaps :D)
Cheers!

Watched the video on harvesting the P4 to upgrade the P2 and saw the flattened out serrations on the factory P2 blade. Could you explain what you used to flatten out the serrations?  Thanks

He swapped the blade too. The combo blade of the P2 was replaced with the straight edge blade of the P4.

I could probably deal with the serrations on the p2 blade if they were more shallow as on the one in the video.  I dont want to get the p4 just to salvage the plain edge blade as that would be all I would use it for.  In another video he mentioned the worksharp sharpener so that is probably what he used, I just wanted to make sure.  If I opt for a blade swap I would most likely use a t2 blade shorter but comparable thickness.

I see what you mean now.  :dunno:  Hopefully Maxlvledc will respond.
