Thanks guys for the scale complements.

Day 10
Smokey helped with the morning coffee.

The saw cut a few larger twigs.  Then I used the FireFly with saw as striker to light some helix tinder
(Image removed from quote.)
That is some awesome scales!

DAY 11

I would have to say that this Huntsman has been serving my needs well. So today I decided to clean it up real good and strop it up to sharp again.

Used the main blade to shred some cabbage. The scissors to snip that Paracord. Toothpick and tweezers came in handy to get in those tight spots while cleaning.

Ready to go to more adventures.

Day 11
Today I changed it up again.  I picked up my first Fisherman a while back but forgot about due to doing other challenges.  Well, now seems like the perfect time to test it out a little.

It cut open a bag of chips and cut some sap out of Fisher’s paw hair.  But the best use was just hanging out by the mini campfire while I enjoyed the night with a good beer.

SteveP - Day 11

Switching it up today, a third of the way through the challenge, to my second non-work Explorer. I found it on eBay last Summer.

As you can see from the pic, the previous owner got a lot of use out of the blades as 1-2mm is gone from each one from resharpening. They're still sharp though, so no issues there.

The big problem was the scissors. It looked like the previous owner had tried to sharpen them with a pull-through knife sharpener on each scissor blade, leaving a cutting edge on both sides of each blade. This meant that the blade edges did not meet when cutting, making them useless for cutting anything fine. I used a diamond sharpener to re-edge to only one edge per blade and they work fine now. I also burned in a pin slot. I'd been thinking about parting it out, but after fixing it, I decided to keep it intact. Yes, it's old and a little beat up, but another successful resurrection. (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,87693.0.html for the story.)

Powernoodle Day 12

Opening a bottle of quercetin capsules.

Yesterday after posting I used the Explorer to open some emerald Plus scales, a Kershaw Lightyear with neon scales and another covid test.  Before nighty night, I used the Explorer to scrape off some fossilized toothpaste from a battery toothbrush.

Kershaw Lightyear.

Awesome picture SOS :salute:
Side Note: I still need to pick up one of these stoves. Where did you find this again?
I’ve been wondering- Is it doable with this stove to boil a cup of water for tea using just twigs and small sticks?

DAY 12

A lazy Sunday in store. Finished up my laundry and breakfast dishes. As it is already 102 at noon thought I'd call it an inside kinda day.

Used that cap lifter on my Huntsman to enjoy a slow beer.

The stove is from Firebox.  The one pictured is the new Freestyle, but they make 3 other.  I also have the Nano which is the smallest.

You can easily boil water using just twigs, I do it frequently.  The guy who designed it has videos making full on meals using the different versions with small sticks.

Here is a picture of me hearing water for coffee and oatmeal over the smallest Nano stove.

Sos persuaded me to get one. I got the Nano. Great little stove. Not a 3-course meal stove, mind you, but for a small pot or fry pan, they work great. Yes, with just some twigs, it is easy to boil up water for a brew. Depending on various factors, you may need to add a few extra twigs as you go, but there is a handy window through which fresh fuel can be added.  :tu:

I got mine direct from Firebox. Really nice people to deal with.

I keep thinking about getting the larger original size.....
