(Image removed from quote.)

I had purchased a pair of Barbie Paramedic dolls shortly after they came out for $5 each on Amazon, with plans to move them to either a Made to Move or a proper 1:6 female body. I then noticed that the small "petite" body had been used, and then realized I had a couple of 1:9 (8-inch) Breyer riders that had full articulation that I ended up using instead. The clothes surprisingly fit well.

(Image removed from quote.)

Base figures--Breyer Veterinarian Laura and Brenda Breyer. Breyer changed the heads to something much more doll-like in 2013. Brenda, I think, was released in a gift set in 2008.

Clothing--Barbie Paramedic; but Laura's pants came with her. The boots fit the much smaller Breyer figures better than the footwear Breyer supplied.

Stretcher/cot--Ringside Collectibles Deluxe Folding Stretcher (Stryker-inspired).

Spineboard--repurposed tag off Jansport backpack (soon to be replaced with something more appropriate--there's a 3D printed scoop stretcher on Shapeways that's said to be 1:9 scale)

Bags--Duffel Bag from Barbie Paramedic and black case from Breyer Veterinarian Laura

Stethoscope and Plasma Bottle--GI Joe (I think either Vietnam Nurse or 40th Anniversary Action Medic)

AED--Banai Nihon Koden

Oxygen mask and IV bottle--Playmobil (while overscale for Klickys--they work great with 1:9, and tend to be cheap--I have a medic coming that includes several small surgical instruments that will work great at this scale)

Syringe and gauze roll--Breyer Veterinarian Laura. I think, however, that that syringe is actually dewormer paste.

Those AEDs are pretty neat, they really got every details down even for a 1:6 figures. :tu:

:D I seal open packs with a clothes peg, works really well, yep crunchy until the end

I do that sometimes with my potato chips, soggy chips are worse than soggy cereal.

What is the G-Shock's model number? I owned one of those, or a very similar one, in the past.
Hope you're well stocked with TP!
Good thing you did. The one knife I managed to lose is long gone. It'll probably be found if USS Peleliu is scrapped.

Day 15

Slightly late again, and another no use day...not even a package to open or a box to break down. :ahhh

For chips, the Mama Zumas win.  But of all the snacks it is the Vacadillos Scorpion.  I like all the Vacadillos, best jerky style snack I’ve had. Despite the label I think the Scorpion is hotter than the Reaper and definitely much better tasting.  The Reaper is the only flavor I don’t like
(Image removed from quote.)
I really gonna give those a try, sounds fantastic!

Day 16 continues

Mail packages opened and contents revealed
[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

A 501 w/sheath, in new condition
Two Canoes, both with wood scales. One with Hammer/Nail badge, the other with BUCK badge.  I know the Canoe is a offshore knife, yet who assembles and fits the scales, does a 1st class job of centering the wood grain pattern on both sides👍  I just adore the pattern and the attractive scales.

Will have to polish up to make ‘em shine😉

Day 16 (catch up, sorry for being late)

Got an interesting choke rescue device, and 112 unpacks it.  I got it from a big river site, and think this might even work if you are trying to self rescue when alone.

Day 17

112 unwraps a gift for Mrs., she's been wanting a fancy hair dryer for ages, and finally got one for her.

Use the 112 for self-cricothyrotomy?     Sorry, couldn't stop myself...I am interested in the device.  I've never seen anything like it in the US.

That's a huge box of cereal, does it stay crunchy till the end?  :o

If concerned about freshness, I discovered sealer sticks a few years ago and they work really well for keeping stuff fresh.  They even work in the high humidity summers we have here and for liquid items.

Day 17:

Busy day with the pup. Took her on a few walks, took her for a drive to acclimate her to the car, and did a little socialization training at the grocery store. Naturally she still had energy to dash about and burrow under and old plank when we got home.

With awl the puppy-focused activity, the Ranger only served as a pocket weight.......

Day 17:

Some assorted light-cutting tasks.

Going through the grocery store coupons, I found this type of iced tea was on sale and decided to try a cold brew variety finally. I'm used to Lipton and Luzianne, so the flavor is completely different. This is more like the times I've made iced tea out of English Breakfast when I was out of Lipton.

Finally got things cleaned up. This assortment has been in the pockets of my work pants, shorts, and sweatpants off and on for several days, and was far past needing to be cleaned. The 112LT is barely two weeks old, so it didn't really need it, but I did anyway. Now, I need to clean my PST and a couple of others.

On another note--note to self: buy a Signature with a retractable pen. I've been trying this one as my MiniChamp has too much stuff on it; but the old style retractable pen is NOT comfortable to use for even something as simple as writing a check.

Great picture.
Yet, you were better than AWL the wanttobees who showed up just to smell the smoke.

I would be part of that group.

I respect those that take the time, put forth the effort, and lay their talents in front of others to be judged. 👍👍👍

Day 18:

I decided to stop wearing a heavy pair of steel-toe Dunlop rubber boots I had as they were really messing up my feet and ankles.  I then took stock of what I had that fit and had rarely been worn--one cheap off-brand pair of hunting boots, one pair of Rocky work boots, and then a pair of Cabela's hiking boots.

Decided to take the cheap pair of hunting boots for my around-the-farm boots, but hated the yarn-like laces the things had. I remembered my good everyday wear Haix British Army boots used gutted brown paracord as the laces from the factory. I dug around in a big box of Atwood "seconds" paracord I had (mostly stuff that was left at the end of the roll--mostly 25-70 foot sections) and found some in Desert Tan.

I cut the paracord to lace length with the 112. Did clean end cuts with the Channellock linesman's pliers, and used them to smash the melted ends flat. Used the lighter to seal the ends.   I had one of the old laces get stuck in the boots, and just cut them clean off with the Gerber strap cutter.

I was, surprisingly, able to leave the guts in. I thus have almost four feet of usable full-strength 550 paracord in each boot should the need arise. A lot of survivalists recommend switching laces for paracord, but this was something I did as I was too cheap to buy new laces.
