Day 26 of 30

New COLOR ink cartridge required in printer.  Package is normally difficult, not this morning as my Ranger Slim Pro was in charge of slicing and separating clam shell plastic and cardboard encasent😜

No kidding.  And he's crazy fast now! :ahhh I bought some bitter apple to spray on some things he's been gnawing on.  I sprayed some on my finger to test it.  He sniffed, licked it, made a funny face, then chewed my finger.

  I asked my Vet about bitter apple. He looked at me with some sympathy and then laughed....

No use today, 112 posing next to the baby girl asleeped.

I'm surprised she did grab the Ranger and tuck it under her blanket.

DAY 26  We live on the east coast of FL, so we won't be in the direct path of Ian, but I put up a few panels on the side of the house that will get most of the wind.  Nothing for the 112 to do, so just a pic if it and aluminum.

Day 26:

Puppy or no puppy.... No chicken, no challenge!   :viking:

OK, these chicken challenges always remind me, 112 or 110, why I love that pointy, pointy clip pointy. The Ranger made short work of piecing out this chicken. And cleaned up easy, too.  :tu:

The chicken pieces got dressed with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Then ended up on the grill. I kept it simple just in case the puppy want to sample my grill skilz. Yes, I believe I have risen in Adventure Girl's estimation.....

Neat, are these DIY lights? :pok:

They’re synthesizers 8) synthbots!

You’re not far off though, the oscillators are controlled using the little lights so as you move them the sound changes

There are times when I think the drop point has some advantages.....and it does...but time and time again I've come to appreciate the clip point and its pointy qualities.  :tu:

Day 26: I had to go to a place where I figured that showing a clip was more trouble than it was worth, so I decided that instead of dumping the Slim in my pocket, I'd just go with the standard 112LT.

It is MUCH more comfortable. I think I'll finish the challenge with it.

I sliced up an older box formerly used for storage.

So far the slim is winning out of the classic. It's just lighter in the pocket.

Day 27

112 opens a package from Nitecore.  Didn't know they also make patches, so I ordered some.  The Tini2 is a pretty interesting keychain light, I think this maybe the new direction for how 'smart' flashlight should go--not only does it tell you how much lumen at the current level, it predicts the runtime based on current battery level.  Slightly bigger than the Rovyvon which I love, but the extra feature it is nice change.

Day 27 of 30

A Buck package was in the mail received yesterday and waiting for me when I returned home from a cold evening watching Grandson’s soccer team eliminated from final tournament.

So disappointed 😞

There is a gap between the frame and lock bar, thick enough to slide a piece of paper through on each side of the center pin.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Wide enough it can be photograph.

It would appear this slipped through Quality Control.  Another minor annoyance is that as a BOTM and a Ranger, they did not utilize a 50th anniversary emblem on the tang😢

This knife appears to be making a return trip to Idaho.  Unsure if going to request a refund or not.  Maybe a 113 Ranger IS in my future.

That is unfortunate.  It looked so good in profile.  If you contact them quickly about sending it back they may still have some lying around to send out a replacement or maybe they could fix this one, but I think they owe you something extra for taking up your time and money for having to send it back.
