Very nice combination with those two folders.  Three blade styles, prepared to slice however you wish.   :like:
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 27
I didn't have my camera with me today, but I used the Svord Peasant mini to take a cutting from my roses and prepare it for planting.  Here's a glamor shot that will have to suffice.

This challenge is the first time I have come across the Svord Peasant. It looks like a useful work knife.

There is a voice whispering in my ear that I need to get a Peasant mini. There is also a voice screaming in my other ear "If you buy another knife this month ", so I don't know which side will win out  :D

Day 28 The finish line is in sight now folks.  :ahhh

Case Half Whittler in Smooth Antique Bone covers.  8)  One of my more recent Case knives and, quite honestly, it's a doozy.  Really nothing that I don't like about this one.

Always enjoy seeing that knife!   :tu:

Day 28

Today I'm switching back to a smaller knife, a Buck 385 Toothpick.  I have been wanting one of these for a long time, but I refused to buy a new one since Buck now makes this model in China.  Since I couldn't find a USA made 385 in the condition and price that I liked, I just decided to try a new one.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that it seems just as well made as my other Bucks... maybe it's just made with inferior steel.  :dunno:  I guess time will tell.   :tu:

 My last indulgence!  This month
I had to return the CASE Swayback, for quality control issues and elected not to replace it as the pattern was just to small for my hands.

Since the funds applied to the CC and had been paid, I found a few trinkets I desired, slipcases of varying sizes, a couple of Canoes and 2 GI Jack knives ($7) because I liked simplicity.  And qualified for free s/h so free.

And close up of the knives

A Queen and Rough Ryder Canoe. The packaging was as impressive as the intial inspection of the knives😜

I have been eyeing a new Queen Barlow. Is the quality of the Queen branded knives from China decent?

Quote
Really no more packages on the way
Anyways, my expenditures for July exceeded my income, yet not by much, and vacation account will cover travel dinners so I may actually be in the black by a $ or two!

It is REALLY REALLY Terrible not to have to explain to the Mrs😢. 🌹🌹🌹

I had the impression that you are a widow. I am sorry for your loss. I rather have my wife giving me the business for spending too much on MT and knives than her not being around to do it.

1.  The Queen Canoe I received today is my first of this brand.  Surprised by the packaging, first class.  The fit snd finish of on this unit is first class.  Not shiny, the bolsters and blade appear burnished, verses polished Actually a very nice aged look.  The blade will require work, not sharp at all, does not scratch my finger nail when passed across it.
It could be shelf queen, it looks that good. For the price no complaints.  I was under the impression Queen brand was owned by SMKW, maybe built under contract to Rough Ryder. But not sure on that tidbit.
PS:  after 20 passes of the blade on each side with my steel the knife is hair cutting sharp, must of had a edge roll that needed removal.
2.   Yes, a widower, survived my first year of firsts. Not easy,  and I was able to resume some normalcy, even returned to MTo, tried last year but could not maintain focus to follow threads, everything day by day.  Mrs LC never complained of my packages 😉, but did about my time with my nose in my phone, tablet or on the computer.
Yes, cherish your wife’s comments, they I am certain ring with ❤️ And 🌹!    Hugs always ease the pointy jabs. 😉

I’ve fallen behind on both reading and posting due to trip visiting family.

I’m finally starting to catch up on the reading and realized I’ve missed a lot.  Great knives a posts by awl.  Here are a couple of things that caught my attention:
- McStitchy carrying a mini trapper instead of just the red barlow, then rich_sd posting a real nice mini trapper
- Cobbler posts from Nix and Loopcutter
- Australian Whiskey by nate j
- Old Timers by Steve and Farmer X
- A Sheffield by Gareth
- a dog’s head KaBarlow by comis
