Thanks Aloha, pfrsantos and Gareth :tu:

Yeah it’s a bit of a downer. I’ve had to cancel a trip to the Isle of Whyte I was really looking forward to but it’s a condition of the booking and I don’t want to infect anyone

Hopefully will test negative in next few days and can get back into it. I’ve got a bad cough, sore throat, head and body aches but nothing that terrible. Reckon I’ll get my energy back in next few days and will be able to do some solo things until I test negative

That is awful to hear, Echo. I do hope you test negative and recover in a short amount of time so that you can get in as much as possible  :tu:

Get well soon, Echotech! I hope your bout is milder than mine was - took me a couple of weeks to get better…… :tu:

Thanks Adam, FX & Rizio :tu:

Already feeling a lot better today so think I’ll be back on track in a day or two.
I have the advantage of having had my second booster (vaccine shot 4) only about 10 days ago, but it is my first bout of Covid

Apparently people who’ve already had it are often asymptomatic if they get it again and subsequent infections tend to be milder

All my family in the UK have had it 2 or 3 times, unlike Sydney when it’s only been the recent wave that I now know anyone who’s had it

Managed a decent walk this morning

Scissors came in handy for cutting up the Strepsils to carry

It’s a real bummer but I’m going to have to sit out a few more days unfortunately. Don’t feel too bad but it’s put a bit of a hole in my plans

Although a bit more pedestrian (quite literally) than originally planned did get out for another good walk today

Cheltenham has some very fine architecture, this is Cheltenham college, not just a college but also home of Gloucestershire cricket

I was thinking Cleeve Hill. I’m not anywhere near, but was a regular visitor to Winchcombe in childhood, my father’s side of the family was from Winchcombe so visited and stayed with various great aunts and uncles. My surname is endemic to the area.

'Taschenmesser' comes from Winchcombe ?   ???

Glad you're on the mend and excellent shots of Gloucester  :tu: (shame about the Isle of Wight though)  ::)

As for the colour of the Compact - it was really just a happy coincidence - I just chose British racing green because you are a Brit' who was coming home  :dunno: ;) Glad it was a good choice  :D

Not been around for a bit, so just had the full rollercoaster here! Glad you're back out and about, mate.

And I've watched Lancashire at Cheltenham College. It's a lovely setting. Beats Gloucestershire's ground at Bristol...
