Thanks Rich  That is an excellent photo, congrats on your new 1st gen! I guess that makes me the only person without one then.

Must. Resist. Peer pressure :poh:

Day 10

Ok you enablers, I started feeling like I was the only person here without a 1st generation Wave, so I bought one  :ahhh   I always thought the new Wave+ was better in every way, but saying that without owning both probably seems like a case of sour grapes   Now that I own both, I can say with authority that the Wave+ is better in every way but one - I prefer the slightly smaller size of the original Wave.  I'm still very glad I have it because it's a great addition to my collection  :tu:

(Image removed from quote.)

I’m on the fence about getting one. I do want one for the collection, but haven’t found a decent one for a good price.  Now I have a good offer on eBay…

I currently have two tools on the way, I cannot possibly buy another one. She'll move out for sure

Yes, I just got another Japanese PST, to the wife’s lament. Another one might take some convincing.

I am afraid that my purchase over the weekend will be the last one for a while

Excellent carry, Adam! I have never tried, but always had an eye for the Crater series. How do you like it?

Looks like the three of us are in the same boat. :ahhh

I have not used it yet.

When I found out that the C33T was being retired several months ago, I went to the Leatherman site to look at it. I liked what I saw and I liked the price it had been reduced to. So I bought it. But I have not gotten around to carrying it yet.

As far as I can remember, I dont think I have ever used any of my multitool awls on leather  :ahhh
I certainly have. I'd try out the awl for this challenge, but the Wave is lacking in that regard.

I guess that makes me the only person without one then.
You're not the only one.

I just fixed the handle in the kitchen :salute:
:tu: I much prefer those types over round knobs...far easier to tighten!

Great photos and uses, y'awl...and it's probably a good thing I'm broke.

Day 10

I had to do some experimenting to determine how to best carry the Wave. Since I typically go straight for the plain edge blade, it faces tip up, away from the flap. That way my thumb lands right at the opening hole. Hopefully one of y'awl can tell me what sort of sheath I have.

Day 11

Here's an unusual (for me) use for the pliers... there was some paper stuck in the shredder, and it was just out of reach of my fingers.  To avoid removing the lid, I just fished it out with my Wave.

Day 11 of 30

Took some time to correct intonation on my bass. Did not use the wave to adjust the truss rod, but I suppose I could. I did use it to adjust saddle position and height.

Yeah, I need to do that soon... I need to find time during a weekend.  I'm also not too eager to show off to the wife how big the collection has grown.  I don't buy anything in secret, but seeing everything together might shock her

I have a few basses leftover from one of my previous obsessions.  I'll have to post some Wave pics with some of them.  My P Bass was my favorite - it had better tone than basses that cost me 3 times as much.

I totally get that. My wife still really doesn't know the extent of my collection because they mostly all look the same to her

I pray that my wife would only be shocked if she saw all of it :ahhh

It is the same for me. However, she does ask why I keep getting basically the same tool.

Almost all of my knives and MTs are in my shed. The fear of spiders and snakes keeps her out of my shed, and I do nothing to alleviate that fear
