Day 26

Poncho's black mood is contagious:

What makes that pocket wrench more desirable than all of the other similar tools on the market?

My thoughts exactly! The picture doesn't really show it, but they are 12 inch wood screws for attaching furring strips through insulation to prevent thermal bridging 8)

What makes that pocket wrench more desirable than all of the other similar tools on the market?

It is solidly built and has finer notches, which allows it to engage a wider variety of nuts and bolts.

However, its real appeal to me is that it was popular with forum members years ago and is no longer being made.

Great pics this morning, Farmer, GB, and Adam  :tu:

Thanks, Rich

I was going to use the Wave and ratchet this morning. Alas, I did not have a hex bit that was small enough. So I had to go to my van to get my hex wrenches

Oh, that explains everything. I was searching and could not find it anywhere, all of the enablers on this forum made me want one.

When I know it is needed I use to pair my Leatherman with a small 4 inch adjustable wrench, but that pocket wrench looked neat. If anybody knows something similar, let me know

There are tons of similar tools... I've seen them on Amazon, eBay, and most knife/tool places I shop.  Even Leatherman used to make some... they even sent me one as a gift when I purchased another tool.  I can't attest to the quality, but I think it's safe to assume that most are not high quality.  I have a few from Leatherman that are decent quality, but I personally find them not very useful.  All of that said, I'm still on the lookout for a Burktek because I have been assimilated...  :assimilate:

VVintage Wave & Wenger Wednesday.
:like:

BRING IT ON!  :viking:  I AM READY FOR ANYTHING!
Indeed you are! :tu:

This box of screws cost over $400.
I can only hope there are at least 400 in the box! Reminds me a little of aircraft hardware...aside from the "aviation grade" markings and a much higher price, they aren't much different from what you'd find at any hardware store.

Yes, I do have both with me on occasion...
Ain't a thing wrong with that!

Another day of great photos and uses from awl! :tu:

Day 27

I didn't purchase anything recently...what arrived today?

Are they black, or is that just the way they look with the light?  Sometimes stainless steel looks like BO in pics.

Yes, they are black with yellow lettering :tu: they came in a few different finishes,  stainless for sure besides this finish and I believe at least one more finish but can't for the life of me remember what

Nice pic too.  What do you think of it?  I think it's pretty nice for a $45 Leatherman.

Not had a lot of time with it but not bad at all for the price point :salute:

If this was 10 years ago though, the Rebar was $49.99 :ahhh but times be a changing  :D

It's $40 at my Costco.

At that price point, I prefer the extra features offered by the Multiforce. However, it is much preferable than a $70 Sidekick.
