Some first-rate pictures from awl! :tu:

Day 29

This package contained a pillow, so scissors were used to open it safely.

Day 30 - ENDEX

That concludes my first 30 day challenge. It has been fun and I feel like have gotten to know you all a bit more. This thread is filled with great pictures and uses. The Wave is tucked away for now and the PST is preparing for the next one. I am looking forward to seeing the majority of you there!

Day 30

We have reached the end of another challenge. One that I enjoyed quite much, even if I didn't "officially" join in   :D
Thanks for letting me crash the challenge

I did not have a chance to take many usage pics, so I thought I would fix that today by taking photos while I assembled a coffee table from Amazon that arrived yesterday for my wife.

I set out to put the table together using only my Wave, my LM ratchet, and one hex bit (replaces the hex wrench sent with the table):

Not much of a challenge for the Wave, but still fun.

Thanks Adam, great use! The ratchet driver is certainly a step up from the tiny tool that usually comes with packages like these. :tu:

Great use, Adam. It’s too bad this challenge didn’t occur while we moved. I don’t think I used too many real tools that month, the Wave took care of most all tasks. I “proved” it’s worth to my wife for sure

 to you as well!

A great testament to the capability of a Leatherman! :tu: I've put furniture together with a Kick and a hammer (one instance in which I haven't found a substitute for a dedicated tool).

A photo assessing inventory to put the Waves away for the time being.
Nice trio you have there! :tu:

I have done a collage of the tool that we are using in the challenge at the end...

The Wave is about to rotate out, so it's time to give my thoughts on it. My only real gripes are the lone dedicated screwdriver (which just seems redundant to me), the precision bit driver (which I have very little use for), and the lack of a lanyard attachment point and an awl. Repurposing the dedicated screwdriver into a chisel and replacing the precision bit driver with an awl and a lanyard attachment point would be just about perfect, in my opinion. The Wave is a very solid and capable tool, and I enjoyed putting it through its paces.

Of course, a :hatsoff: to my fellow challengers for making the challenge so awlsome. As usual, the variety of uses and superb photos were great to see. It was awlso great to participate alongside both folks who have been in challenges with me previously and those who haven't. A congratulations in advance to nakken and Grand_Banana on their first challenge badge! :woohoo:

Day 30

It has awlready been a busy day for the Wave. I had to make some replacement boot laces first thing in the morning (after less than five hours of sleep), and the Wave cut the needed paracord. Some bacon makes the perfect end to a challenge. And finally, Jimmy somewhat grudgingly obliged his fans and posed for a photo. He and Tommy, who made an appearance earlier in the challenge, celebrate five years with us today!

Thanks Farmer, great pictures and uses! Happy five year to Jimmy and Tommy :dd:

I agree about the dedicated screwdriver, mine is for sure repurposed to a chisel/light pry tool.

About the lanyard, I'm not sure what you have on yours, but on the plus there is a hidden lanyard loop under the saw. There is also the attachable one that is just way too big for me.
