Here is another keeper.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I'm still mulling over a select few other items. Somehow I suspect the box has gone into one of its periods of stagnation, so I'll take my time. It's extremely unlikely that I'd be able to ship it this week, anyway.

Why don't you have another go at it, Poncho?  It's close to 17 pounds of goodness and we're running out of eager participants again.

I'll get started on packing it up this weekend. God knows I move pretty slowly, but I'll do my very best to ship out the weekend after this

I may  I will wait until Aztecypher gets it to see if any more people want on the list, if not I may just hop in line :D

Yes. I found one more, but it stays at work, so will have to get a photo later.

If no one else is in line, then AzteCypher can send it on to me when he is finished with it :salute:

Sounds like a plan!  I end up taking everything out and re-wrapping it along  with getting a new box.  Replacing the bags when they look like they've seen better days.  Trying to make it presentable to the next person.

I also ask my wife and my son if they'd like something from it.  I think I'll include my daughter this time as she's been requesting a pink SAK.  She's 8yrs old so I'm thinking I might get her a Classic SD for her first SAK.  Thoughts?

I got Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation pink ribbon Classic SDs for my mom and sister. They both carry them in their purses.  I think getting one for your daughter is a great idea as long as she isn't going to be poking her brother with it.  Not my photo, borrowed from the web.

The Classic in any variation is a great tool/knife to start a kid out with  mine is 16 now and I bought her her first one when she was even younger :ahhh :D Once you get safety in their head most do fine (with the occasional cut of course because that is how we learn ;) ) she has graduated to a Wave, Curl and other MT knives and SAKs but she does well with them :tu:

My son is not to the age where he can have one yet, but I liked the idea of the blunt-tipped locking Evo scaled SAK for the first he gets to actually use.

It'll be on the move this week. There are still a select few items I'm considering, and I am badly lacking in energy after work and an unnecessarily long commute.

But I did remember to take a photo of another keeper. When I saw it, I figured it would be perfect to attach to my toolbox key.

The box got packed up yesterday and is nearly ready to head to AzteCypher. I just need to put a label on it and gather up the willpower to brave the cold.

I watched friend Aztec's video of the truck.  Of course it is from Youtube.  Just clicked on the arrow.  Funny.  After the thing ended there were 6 or 8 suggestions of videos that could be accessed.  One of them was for a Muay Thai event.  Another was for a song.  BOTH of them are something I have watched.  What are the odds that both of them just happened to pop up.  The bots at Youtube saw immediately, "Well old IMR has finally decided to get up.  Pull his file and put up some ad smurf for him."
Don't think for a second that Big Brother isn't watching YOU.  A third suggestion was stock car racing related.  That fit the profile.  Didn't fit me, just the profile.  Then since I watched a truck, the rest of the suggestions were big commercial truck videos.  Not just computers.  Every time I type any word in a phone text that begins with the letter w, I get as a suggestion for the word werecoyote.  Considering I made up the word, tell me that is not part of a profile.  G

Now the fun of going through it begins! :woohoo:

@IMR4198: I have no idea how to completely get around that algorithm. But that's a topic best left for another thread.

Starting the initial viewing yesterday evening.  There is a lot in this box!

The algorithm is always listening.  There was one instance where my wife was talking about something and for the next week, she was seeing advertisements of said items pop up on anything she visited.  Nuts... I've shown her how to turn off her microphone with specific apps but then you're trusting that the app/phone truly shuts them off.

Finally had time today to go through the whole box.  My son and I have made our initial picks.  I think my son has narrowed down his to his final selection.  Even got my brother in-law involved as I explained what the box was and if he was interested in something.  He might select something from the box.  I'm going to sleep on my current selection and look at it again tomorrow.

I can show y'all one thing that was in there.  A No.8 in walnut that was a birthday gift from Farmer X.

It's a beautiful example of an Opinel.

Thanks again Farmer X!
