It definitely does!

Finally received the box today via dog courier.

I only peeked at it today as we had a busy day but there will be a lot to unpack tomorrow for sure.

Finally made time this early evening to do the preliminary picking.  Had my son "help" me as well.

My son and I made our final decisions over the weekend but I didn't get to post until today.  Below are our selections.  I chose the Rocktol, as I've been wanting to see how good they are, along with the lighter, and the two paracord key chain lanyards.  My son chose the blue Rough Ryder and the Japanese steeled 'Eagle' knife.  The Rough Ryder is a nice looking one.

The Eagle knife wasn't sold in stores.  It was one of those buy it from an ad in a magazine deals like Stauer watches or baby doll collectibles.  I used to see the ads in some of the outdoor magazines about 40 years ago or a little more.  I started to look it up, but it was too much effort.  I polished the brass instead so it would look purty.  No, I didn't put it in the box.  Best wishes.  G

Very nice.  Can we see the Rough Rider open please?  I'm curious about the blade shape on that one.

He's already shown it off to a couple of our neighbors.

The box is once again up for grabs.  Add your name to the list and send your details to the last person on the list so they can send it to you.

Looks like it is about time to scare up another lucky, lucky recipient for the Sos Surprise Box of happiness.  Cost to play the game is only $19.15 and there is a virtual guarantee of return on your investment.  If you don't keep a single thing, you can always get rid of some of the unwanteds and unuseds at your place.  Our friend Aztec has had the box for a while.  Picked out some keepers.  Time to move it on.
Best wishes.  G

I'll have a go again. It's been a while, and I'm meeting up with some old Scout buddies later in the month. They'd probably enjoy taking a look.

I should be able to get it out no later than Wed.  Now I just need to put everything back in a nice new box as I may have, possibly, accidentally, torn open the box like a deranged gorilla looking for a banana.... allegedly.... per my wife's description of the events that unfolded that day.

Work's been painful this week but I was finally able to crawl away and head over to the post office.  The box was a wee bit too heavy for the jackalope so I hired a special team to transport it.

Box arrived with only minor exterior damage. Up about 3 pounds from the last time I had it. We should try to get it under a dollar a pound. :D

Looks fine. I have to compliment AC on the great job he did organizing and packing it. Probably the nicest it's ever come to me. One item awlready out, and I'm pawing through the rest.

G-Dizzle, are you still interested? I know we bumped you a while back.

I agree.  Our friend Aztec is the best box packer in the business.  G-Dizzle has logged in this month, so maybe he will let everyone know.  In the mean time, there is still a great opportunity to sign on for the Surprise Box.  I don't think that anyone has NOT had fun with this thing.  Just like being a kid and finding a box under the tree with your name on it.
Read the rules.  Take some stuff.  Leave some stuff.  Ship it to the next one on the list.  Flat rate priority shipping just went up to $21.05.  It is common for recipients to get several times that much in value.
Best wishes.  G

Another postage rate increase???  They're going to have to cut service to maybe 4 days a week to start saving money, or they're going to price themselves right out of business.

Of course, the boxes are free.  The rates are just shipping costs.  Best wishes.  G

I dunno how it is elsewhere, but I never mind paying the post office. They've been much more reliable than FedEx, UPS, or DHL most places I've lived. Worth an extra buck to actually get the package without issues.

I have logged on recently! We did get moved and are very happy in our new home, praise the Lord. We are now expecting another little one anytime now, so it would probably still not be prudent for me to participate. Maybe in a couple months still. Thanks for checking!!

Many thanks for the compliments.

I second that statement.

I have also gotten more than my money's worth out of the GAW box.  Definitely worth the shipping costs in my opinion.

Congratulations!  You will definitely have your hands full!

Just got back from camp and letting the guys dig through it. They had a great time. We pulled quite a bit, it might actually be lighter when I send it out than when I got it for once. Pics tomorrow, I promise.
