Now for the bad news - the Eklipse is gone.  It must have fell out of my pocket, when I fell while hiking earlier.  Needless to say I was a little distracted and did not notice right away.

So now the question comes, do I get to choose a replacement knife (seeing how it was my only tool/knife) or do I have to wait.
Sorry to hear this too!  Hope all is well and you are not hurt in the process, any chance to go back to find it?

As for continuing the challenge, you are definitely more than welcome to pick another knife as substitute.

Day 17

Feeling a little under the weather, Spirit MX opened a new pack of herbal drink to hopefully boost immunity.

That's awful! Hope the fall didn't result in injury, and that some backtracking will turn up the Eklipse.

Feeling a little under the weather...
Hope you're back to normal by now!

Day 17

I was working in an area that doesn't lend itself to action shots, but the Hiker's cap lifter got put into staple pulling duty.

Oh no!  :ahhh
That's terrible. At least it was not your favourite.
Any chance you can go back to the spot you fell? Maybe have a look around for it? You never know.
It is a heavily traveled spot so I doubt it is still there.  Plus I don’t think I’m going to walking for at least a few days depending on what the doctor says tomorrow.  I injured my foot.

Thanks all for the well wishes.  Tomorrow I should find out how bad it is, hoping for the best, but not very confident.

Day 17
The wife picked out a knife from my drawer of frequent users.  So the Cripple Creek Jack will be my knife going forward.

Today it opened a box

Day 17

Used the Eldris on some mail today. Trying some neck carry this week, so I took a selfie. So far, not a huge fan. The Eldris is on the bigger/heavier side for neck knives though. Debating trying to grab something smaller for next week. The CRKT mini cleavers look nice...

If you didn't get the full kit Eldris that comes with the belt loop you can just stuff it into a pocket for discreet carry or I discovered that you can belt carry an Eldris in a flashlight pouch.  You'd still need 2 hands to get it out though, unless you want to make it permanent and glue or sew the Eldris scabbard into the flashlight pouch.

I've pocket carried it a few times, especially in cargoes and it's been pretty comfy. Didn't think of the flashlight pouch.

Day 18.

Minor cutting duties for the Safari.

And a day I had to cheat.
My 5yo daughter has a small loom on which she made a blanket for a small stuffed bear.
Had to take out her work, cut the strings, knot the warps, sew in the wefts...
Lots of precise work so I went for my Huntsman (cork screw for knotwork, great help and scissors for fine trimming).
Didnt dare to risk her effort.
 :dunno:

Hope this is still ok.
