Day 19: Not a blade pic, but the caplifter saved the day when we went out to eat and my sons found old school Coke in glass bottles.

Its always gratifying to save the day, by doing little things. I’ve saved a few cookouts with the can opener on my trusty SAK.

Day 19 - back to SAK  :climber: and my OHO trekker I had this for many years but only had it in my pocket once, it normally lives in my outdoor pants and have been on many adventures with me from fishing, kayaking, visiting other countries, walks through mountains, woods and always served me good. Today we fixed some things around the house and here it helped me to close of the water

Day 17 of 30
Wenger Highlander

Hung out at the house completing some chores/honey-do's. No need for the Highlander though.

Thank you  :hatsoff:

It's much nicer than I expected.  My only complaint is that it doesn't have a pocket clip, although realistically I'm not going to be carrying it anyway.

I’d love to swap the saw for a pair of scissors on my soldier. I just never use a saw?  :dunno:

Day 19:

Quiet day around here for me, so just a glamour shot. How many of you all carry flashlights with your knives?

Not in a caddy but always in the same picket with a pocketclip

I have a mini LED light on my keys. It isn’t much but it’s just as bright as the MagLite I had twenty some-odd years ago.

I have a few small flashlights, but I find it much more convenient to use my iPhone flash instead.  It's not nearly as powerful, but it's one less thing I have to carry.

Day 20

I'm still carrying my Crucial today, but I'm going to post a pic of a recent purchase instead.  Last month I did a Skeletool challenge, and I realized that I didn't have an early CX (1st year?) before Leatherman swapped the combo/straight blade with the non-CX.  I picked one up too late for the Skeletool challenge, but it still fits here  :tu:

It definitely fits here.  Its one of the relatively recently produced and very popular multitools that comes with a combo edge blade.  A testament to the versatility of a combo edge blade, if you ask me.  :tu:

Day 19: I Forgot to post yesterday....

Had to adjust a pivot on the Native 5--used my Skeletool and my T6/T8 (aka the knife maintenance bit) to tighten up the clip. Need to sharpen it well before putting the thing into play. Need to find the blue Loctite--I have a bunch of screws that need it from either changing sides or tip-up carry. This is one of the few I converted to left-hand carry. RH carry, even as a southpaw, just makes more sense. All my knives, if equipped with four-position clips, are changed to tip-up if not that way from the factory.

ERTL released these models of the current-gen RAM and Silverado last year (or the year before--I forgot). Greenlight's are cheaper and higher detailed, but they have a ton of quality issues. I got burned the last couple of times I bought Greenlight models online, as it was impossible to find their issues. Heck, I've bought a couple at Walmart, and those had issues hard to detect in the pack (casting and  tampo defect on the left-hand side facing the card, and foggy windows with sloppily painted trim camouflaged by foggy blister pack).   Plus, most of my farm trailers (flatbeds, horse trailers, cattle trailers) are ERTL.  Thus, I finally picked them up from Tractor Supply yesterday.

Used the Milwaukee to remove the hang tags. Also opened feed sacks that I went in there for.

I had to fix some flashing on the outside of the garage after I hooked it with the fender flare on the UTV. I had used my SOG Powerlock EOD's awl and pliers. Did not get a photo.

Day 21

Andy, I carry a small olight on my keychain most of the time. I like it much better than using my phone light (thought I still do sometimes for convenience) and it's small enough to be a problem.

Opened a bottle today. It said twist off, but where's the fun in that?  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Day 22

I’ve had long term back problems which have recently got a lot worse so had an MRI last week, moderate to severe arthritis and 5 bulging discs, one trapping a nerve. Getting cortisone injection Thursday and looking like I’ll need surgery to remove a part of bone that’s now sitting at an angle and causing a lot of the problem

To that end I’m also trying different supplements to try and future proof the rest of me!

That sounds awful :(

Day 19:

Another quiet day around here today (Holiday today). To be honest, I usually carry my st300 because I often need pliers. I’m kind of shocked I haven’t needed to reach for my pliers for this entire challenge!

Side thought: Does anyone else think the OHO blade looks like the bird skull character from Moon Knight?

That's not good my friend.  I hope the docs can find a way around surgery.
