Really nice challenge.  They were some sweet looking vintage soldiers.

Day 30 already, another year almost over  and last day of the challenge

Many thanks to everyone who came and offered their support and a big :hatsoff: to colt 1911 for joining me :salute: :tu:

Thought I’d save my largest and maybe favourite collection until last, the mighty mod 61 soldier. I’ve already posted the Wenger Soldats, these are all issued knives (the 62 was also previously posted)

Quite a collection, Echo.

Do you have enough Soldiers to do a 90 day 90 Soldier challenge?
Thanks BPR :tu:

I’ve enough to do a 30 day challenge of a soldier a day but better get collecting if I’m to do 90…. one day maybe  8)

Right! The side locks are starting to go up in price so if your interested in those better start looking. I just received a Adventurer 111mm for Christmas, it has the liner lock for the blade and the flathead that I really like. The driver is also way bigger then a normal SAK. I’ll carry it today and post my pics.

I’ve come around to the liner lock and it’s definitely strong but there’s a simplicity about the slide lock that I really like

111’s are great tools and the adventurer has probably the best feel in hand for me, congrats on your newbie :like:

I like the Outrider a lot but it does feel a bit heavy in the pocket

Thanks Sos :tu:

I’ve really enjoyed it, always fun showing the collection and I think the old soldiers are always interesting to see

Everyone of them is still in really good working order, an absolute testament to their design and manufacture. Not bad after 90 years for the oldest

Sweet collection of old Soldiers! :like: And it would figure that prices on slide lock 111mm models are going up...guess I'd better see what's out there?

I'll take the 4th knife from the right on the top row  :gimme:

I really enjoy seeing your SAK collection, Echo. Especially your Soldiers. Thanks for performing this challenge and allowing us to see them  :like: :salute:

And thanks, colt, for participating. You have multiple SAKs that I did not know existed and saw here for the first time  :hatsoff:

:iagree:

I think it’s possibly the nicest of all the LE colours (2016) even if not very traditional for a knife. From memory they called it Orchid
