Merit Badges Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Farmer X SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Delemont SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Must put something in order and provide link to the post. Participate in a Challenge thread, carry a Victorinox Hiker, and post a photo every day for 30 consecutive days. Must start a thread with a photo of at least five (5) of your watches Build your own version of an MRE using off-the-shelf components, post a photo of the completed MRE and store at room temperature for 6 days or more. Consume the MRE after the storage period and post pictures and descriptions of the contents. Take part in the christmas pool or a rak type giveaway. Those wanting to say thank you for a rak may also nominate for the santa. Participate in a Challenge and post a photo of a Utility Knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a LM Pocket Survival Tool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the pen for thirty (30) consecutive days. Former airstrip in Hong Kong, now the Kai Tak Promenade. There are still a lot of constructions going on in the area.

Kaevin, I wasn’t sure you were going to share your location, but I am glad you did.

For those that are aviation enthusiasts, Kai Tak was a notoriously difficult airport to fly into. The airport is located in Kowloon Bay and was surrounded by water. The airport had a short runway. The approach to the airport forced flight crews to maneuver steeply to avoid a mountain on one side and  skyscrapers on the other. Throw in a typhoon and someone was earning their pay that day.

There used to be height limit for the buildings around there. And the locals who live there will go to the roof floor to look at the planes landing. Now the gov is trying to build a very large sport complex In the area. There is some exhibition rooms telling the old story of it as well.

There wasn't any cheap flight. And when I was a teen the Rose Garden Project was completed and Kai Tak airport is history when I can afford my own ticket in my 20s. I only have very faint memory of going there when I was a kid waving good bye to someone my parents know.
